Jennifer Lopez Shocks Fans: The Viral Cricket Incident Unveiled!
JENNIFER LOPEZ REVEALS HER CRICKET NIGHTMARE: SINGER SHOCKED AS INSECT CRAWLS UP HER NECK ON STAGE!
In a jaw-dropping revelation, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her terrifying encounter with a cricket that crawled up her neck during a concert performance in Kazakhstan. The 56-year-old star, who has been busy promoting her new film "Kiss Of The Spider Woman" alongside ex-husband Ben Affleck, spilled the beans on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" earlier this week.
Lopez was performing at the Central Stadium in Almaty back in August when a large insect landed on her mid-performance. As she continued to belt out a song, the cricket could be seen making its way up her chest and onto her neck in a chilling video clip that has since gone viral.
"It felt like it was crawling all over me," Lopez revealed, visibly cringing at the memory. "I thought it was just a bug flying around, but then I realized it was actually on my skin." The singer recalled how she tried to focus on finishing her song, despite the creepy crawly's presence.
"I thought, 'Maybe it'll just go away,' but nope, it kept coming back," Lopez continued. "And then finally, it reached my neck. I was like, 'Whatever, it's just touching me.' But it was crawling!"
Lopez explained that she didn't even realize what was happening until the cricket got to her neck. "I thought it was just a little bug that was flying around," she said. "But then I saw its legs and I was like, 'Oh no, it's on me!'"
In a hilarious moment, Lopez compared the size of the cricket to a "helicopter" while making a crawling motion with her fingers on her neck.
The singer took a deep breath before continuing, "I tried to finish the song, but my mind was elsewhere. I didn't want to freak out in front of everyone."
Fallon praised Lopez for her composure under pressure, saying, "You nailed it! You stuck the landing, as they say." The singer smiled, acknowledging that she had handled the situation with ease.
Just a month prior to the cricket incident, Lopez suffered another wardrobe malfunction during a concert performance in Warsaw. This time, her tasseled gold skirt fell down to the floor, leaving the singer momentarily shocked.
However, Lopez revealed that she was prepared for the mishap, thanks to some quick thinking from her wardrobe team. "They didn't have enough time to fix it properly," she explained. "But I was like, 'I'm good, let's do this!'"
The actress also spoke about her new film, in which she takes on a leading role alongside Ben Affleck. The two ex-spouses reunited at the movie's premiere on Monday, flashing big smiles as they posed for photos.
"We're back together again," Lopez joked to Extra about her reunion with Affleck. "We're like an old married couple."
Affleck praised Lopez's performance in the film, saying, "She's amazing in the movie. I'm so proud of her." The Oscar winner added that he was impressed by Lopez's dedication to the project.
"She worked incredibly hard," Affleck said. "You get to see all of her many gifts. She's somebody that grew up watching classic musicals."
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in 2022, but filed for divorce on their second wedding anniversary. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
As Lopez walked the red carpet with her twins Max and Emme, 17, it seemed like a night to remember for the whole family. The performer welcomed the teenagers with ex Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 until their divorce in 2014.
"Kiss Of The Spider Woman" is set to hit theaters on October 10, featuring an all-star cast including Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, Bruno Bichir, and Josefina Scaglione.
