Jennifer Aniston's Boyfriend Unveils Decades-Old Secret Illness

Jennifer Anniston's new boyfriend, hypnotist health guru Jim Curtis, 49, says he suffered from acute irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) due to a chronic health condition and confessed that ¿accidents happened a lot¿

JENNIFER ANISTON'S NEW BEAU: HYPNOTIST WITH A SHOCKING SECRET

Jim Curtis, the 49-year-old hypnotist who has been spotted on a romantic getaway with Jennifer Aniston, has been hiding a dark secret for years. The health guru, who has worked with A-list clients including Miranda Kerr and Chrissy Teigen, has revealed that he suffered from a debilitating chronic condition that left him with embarrassing symptoms.

In a brave 2018 interview with Fast Company magazine, Curtis opened up about his struggles with acute irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which he developed due to an underlying health condition. The symptoms were so severe that they sometimes left him "caught short" in airports, and he would have to walk for miles to find a restroom.

Curtis, who has been thrust into the spotlight after being pictured on a romantic vacation with new beau Anniston, revealed that his health troubles began at age 19, when he started to lose the use of his legs and found lesions on his spinal cord

But what's even more shocking is that Curtis kept his condition a secret from his colleagues at his Wall Street job, where he worked as a salesperson. Instead of revealing the truth, he lied about being in a motorcycle accident, which was a convenient excuse to avoid talking about his health issues.

"I didn't want to wait for a wheelchair and trip and fall and be sweaty," Curtis explained in the interview. "I would go into disaster mode or go home and take care of it and go back to work for another day."

Curtis' health troubles began at just 19 years old, when he started experiencing lesions on his spinal cord and losing the use of his legs. He was so ill that he wanted to die, and top neurologists at the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins were unable to diagnose him.

¿I was definitely depressed. You don¿t realize what a toll that takes. I was in sales, I was entertaining [and consumed] a lot of bad food and alcohol and was easily 50 pounds overweight,¿ Curtis said

But with treatment, Curtis was eventually able to return to his studies at the University of New Hampshire, where he got around campus on a motorbike and wore a catheter to help manage his symptoms. However, things took a turn for the worse after college, when he started working in finance.

"Wall Street comes with a lot of macho ego," Curtis said. "It couldn't have been a worse choice. I had to stand up in a crowd all day. It was super high-stress, which is inflammatory and devastating for a condition like mine."

As a result, Curtis' symptoms worsened, and he began to experience fatigue, pain, and other debilitating effects. He continued to hide his condition from his colleagues, using the motorcycle accident excuse again and again.

Curtis suffered pain, headaches, muscle spasticity, and paralysis. Top neurologists at the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins couldn¿t figure out what was wrong

But it wasn't until he left finance and started working in sales that Curtis finally felt comfortable opening up about his health issues. He credited his boss at Remedy Health Media, CEO Mike Cunnion, with helping him turn his life around.

"He would always ask me, 'How are you feeling? How's your health?' He said to me, 'You're doing great and you're an amazing person. Why do you hate yourself?" Curtis recalled.

Curtis' newfound openness about his condition has led to a successful career as a self-help author and speaker. He has written two books, "Break Free" and "Hypno-Realizations," which offer guidance on how to overcome obstacles using hypnotherapy. His clients include some of the most influential people in the health and wellness industry.

With treatment Curtis was eventually able to return to his studies at the University of New Hampshire, getting around campus on a motorbike and fitted with a catheter from a vein in his arm to the top of his heart

But what's perhaps most surprising is that Curtis' newfound success has also led him to a high-profile relationship with Jennifer Aniston, one of Hollywood's most beloved stars. The two have been spotted on romantic getaways together, but it remains to be seen whether Curtis' secret past will become a topic of discussion in their relationship.

As Curtis himself says on his website, "Through hypno-realizations, I not only transformed my health, anxiety and relationships, I've helped thousands of others break free from their past & patterns to create an entirely new reality full of connection, community and love."

It's clear that Curtis has come a long way since his days as a Wall Street salesman, but the question remains: will he be able to keep his secret hidden in his high-profile relationship with Jennifer Aniston? Only time will tell.
