Jenna Ortega's Red Carpet Outburst: Fame or Anxiety?

Jenna Ortega has been brutally slammed online after she snapped at a fan on the red carpet... having previously been branded as 'toxic' and 'entitled' due to her brazen comments

Jenna Ortega's Red Carpet Rant: Actress Gets Slammed for Snapping at Fan on Wednesday Premiere

The drama never ends when it comes to Hollywood starlets, and Jenna Ortega is no exception! The 22-year-old actress was caught on camera having a very public meltdown on the red carpet at the season two premiere of her hit Netflix show, Wednesday. And let's just say, fans are not happy about it.

According to eyewitnesses, Jenna was signing autographs for adoring fans at the London event when she suddenly became enraged with one particularly overzealous supporter. The screaming fan, who apparently wasn't aware of Jenna's infamous reputation for being a bit...prickly, got under her skin, and the actress let loose.

"Please don't do that," Jenna snapped, gesturing dramatically with her hands as if to say, "Get outta here!" The tense exchange was captured on camera and quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), racking up over 1.8 million views.

While some fans defended Jenna's right to be annoyed, calling the screaming fan "unreasonable," others couldn't help but call out the actress for her reaction. After all, isn't being famous supposed to be all about handling the craziness that comes with it?

One outraged fan wrote, "Damn...Jenna let the fame get to her head I'm not rocking with this, be respectful to your fans." Another added, "It's a little kid WTF, damn she's unlikeable."

But Jenna's got some 'splainin' to do. It turns out that being in the spotlight can be a bit too much for our girl. She recently opened up about her struggles with social anxiety, revealing on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard that even hanging out with close friends makes her nervous.

"When I was younger, I could talk to anyone," she confessed. "Now, the idea of having to hang out with people, even some of my closest friends, makes me nervous and then I feel like I can't be myself."

And if that wasn't enough, Jenna's also been open about her struggles with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). On a recent appearance on The Heart Evening Show, she shared that her OCD symptoms leave her feeling "really exhausted." She even revealed that some nights are spent doing repetitive actions like counting everything multiple times to try and calm herself down.

But it seems Jenna's also got a bit of a reputation for being...well, let's just say, a handful. Her comments about the writers of Wednesday, where she admitted to changing lines because they didn't "make sense," earned her some serious backlash from both fans and Hollywood pros alike.

So, is Jenna Ortega's red carpet rant a sign that she's struggling to cope with the pressures of fame? Or was it just a momentary lapse in judgment? Either way, we can't help but wonder: is this the end for the actress's fragile fan relationships?

Stay tuned for more updates on this juicy drama, and let us know in the comments: do you think Jenna was justified in snapping at that screaming fan, or should she be taking a page from her Wednesday character Enid Sinclair's book – aka, being a total boss with no time for nonsense?

The awkward interaction was caught on camera and shared to X, formerly Twitter , where it went viral. And while some defended the Scream star, others were quick to criticize her
