Jeff Daniels Unleashes Fierce Rant Against Trump and Republicans, Wishes Financial Ruin on Trump Voters!

In a scorching interview with MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace on her podcast "The Best People," Jeff Daniels, star of the hit comedy film "Dumb and Dumber," unleashed a blistering attack against President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

As the two discussed Daniels' upcoming role as Ronald Reagan in the film "Reykjavik," Wallace asked how the 40th president compared to the current administration. That's when Daniels let loose, calling Trump a "snake oil salesman" and expressing his fervent hope that Trump voters would suffer financially for their choices.

The 'Dumb and Dumber' star called the president a 'snake oil salesman' and said he believes people will eventually realize Trump is to blame for their problems

"I'm just an actor, what do I know?" Daniels began, "But when Mitch McConnell started stacking the courts 25 years ago, I said it on your show once - they can see it coming! The new America that is diverse and treats everyone with equality and respect and dignity, you know, kind of like Jesus did. We're ready for that. And Mitch and company could see it coming."

Daniels' rant continued as he lamented the collapse of the Republican Party under Trump's leadership, saying, "They were going to be the minority, so they just started...and now you got it, and now you're losing money. I hope you're losing tons of money, those of you who thought this would be okay!"

Wallace picked up on Daniels' theme, calling out Trump voters in Michigan who had supported the president's policies. "I mean, Michigan voted for Trump again," she said, "and the tariffs are going to hurt your neighbors, they're going to hurt." Daniels agreed, saying that everyday people would ultimately realize that Trump's policies were the cause of their financial struggles.

Daniels said he hopes Trump voters lose their money while speaking on MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace's podcast, 'The Best People'

"It's not like I'm saying, 'Oh, wait a minute, this is all because of the Democrats or whatever,'" Daniels explained. "No, no, no! It's one person...he's a snake oil salesman, and I think people will see that!"

In a surprise move, Daniels even went so far as to suggest that Kamala Harris would have been a better choice for president than Trump. "She would have been a good choice," he said. "I don't care what they say, because she would have done what Lincoln did...surrounded herself with people who would disagree with her, not just yes-men."

In recent years, Daniels has appeared in a string of critically acclaimed TV shows and films, including the Netflix series "A Man In Full," the Showtime drama "American Rust," and the Hulu miniseries "The Looming Tower." He even earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series in 2013 for his work on HBO's "The Newsroom."

Daniels and Wallace agreed that Americans will suffer from Trump's economic policies and called out people in Michigan who voted for him

He's also starred alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Meryl Streep in "The Hours" and Matt Damon in "The Martian."

In a world where politics and entertainment often collide, Jeff Daniels' candid assessment of Trump and the Republican Party is sure to spark conversation. As he so passionately stated, "We're ready for that new America...and I think it's coming!"
