Jax Taylor's Apology Tour: Is It Too Little, Too Late?

After a whole season of questionable and controversial behavior on The Valley, Jax Taylor offered numerous groveling apologies on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live

JAX TAYLOR'S APOLOGY TOUR: Reality Star's Messy Past on Full Display as He Grovels for Forgiveness

The drama never ends when it comes to Jax Taylor, and his latest stint on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen was no exception. The 45-year-old reality star, fresh from his tumultuous split from Brittany Cartwright, appeared alongside Tom Schwartz on Tuesday's episode of the hit show.

As Jax took the stage, host Andy Cohen couldn't help but acknowledge that many people were still fuming over his controversial behavior on Vanderpump Rules and now The Valley. And, boy, did Jax have some 'splainin' to do!

While fans expressed their anger with Jax, the reality star spent the brunt of the episode essentially apologizing for everything, while revealing his biggest 'regret' as well.

The self-proclaimed "control freak" spent most of the episode apologizing for his questionable actions, from verbally abusing Brittany to spying on her with security cameras. Yep, you read that right – Jax admitted to setting up security cameras in their home to keep tabs on his ex-wife!

When asked about his infamous rage texts to Britney, Jax claimed he was just trying to get a reaction out of her. "I wanted to see if she cared," he said, adding that his phone addiction and lack of self-control were major factors in his behavior.

But it wasn't all apologies and regrets; Jax also had some choice words for those who criticized him for being on the show in the first place. When Andy mentioned Kristen Doute's comment that she didn't think he should be appearing on WWHL, Jax sniped back, "I didn't know she was the boss!"

Cohen opened the show by asking Jax what he would say to fans who thought he shouldn't be there in the first place, as he issued the first of several apologies

The drama didn't stop there; when asked about his lies to Janet and Jason about the house mortgage, Jax confessed that he had been struggling with addiction and wanted to regain control over the situation. Yeah, okay, Jax – we get it.

But what really got fans talking was Jax's admission that his biggest regret is not ending his marriage sooner. "I think this should have been over a long time ago," he said, adding that he wishes he had left Brittany sooner.

Meanwhile, Tom Schwartz, Jax's former Vanderpump Rules co-star, offered his two cents on the situation. While he acknowledged that Jax's behavior was "pathetic" at times, he also gave credit to Jax for his 201 days of sobriety and admitted that he doesn't think Taylor has changed yet.

'First of all, I want to apologize to everybody who is watching this right now. The stuff that was shown is pretty triggering to a lot of people, and I am watching it back, I watched the episode now,' Jax said, as Andy mentioned that was 'a first' since he apparently never watched VPR or The Valley before

As the episode came to a close, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Jax's apology tour. Some, like @erinheartscoco, were left feeling "gross" and "disappointed" by Bravo's decision to platform an abusive reality star like Jax.

Others, like @brownboywriting, pointed out that Jax getting a WWHL appearance after his history of abuse is a clear example of Bravo supporting toxic behavior. And let's not forget the Change.org petition started on Tuesday, calling for Jax to be removed from television for his offensive conduct!

So, what do you think, Scholary Note readers? Is Jax's apology enough to redeem him in your eyes, or do you think he still has some major growing up to do? Let us know in the comments!

Jax added, 'Yeah, I'm really sorry that, you know, people had to see all that,' before Andy asked, 'And are you sorry to Britney?

Jax admitted, 'That was a part of my downfall. This was like, really, when I was in -- I was heavily into drugs and alcohol and just didn't care, I just did not care'

He added that their divorce is set to be finalized on July 21, adding that he sees their son Cruz, ' 2 to 3 times a week, we obviously have different schedules, crazy schedules, so I will take him for a couple days,

When asked about a story about him going to the hospital, which Brittany heard from Jax's sister while he was spying her her, he said that he had high blood pressure and not a heart attack as previously rumored.

When Tom Schwartz was asked his reaction to what Jax was saying, he admitted it was, 'one part, pathetic, but another part, brutally honest'

Many fans chimed in on social media as well, including @maxhadid30, who said, '#TheValley #WWHL (The Valley producer) Alex Baskin and Bravo will be complicit when Jax eventually seriously hurts/kills somebody. It's disgusting that Bravo and Alex insist on platforming and enabling a dangerous abuser like Jax Taylor.'

Jumata Emill (@brownboywriting) added, 'So Jax gets awarded a #WWHL appearance after his horrible behavior on #TheValley.'

Another X user - @ThrillrErotik - said earlier in the day, 'A reminder to Bravo fans to NOT watch tonight¿s episode of @BravoWWHL tonight as @Andy and @BravoTV are platforming the abusive Jax Taylor once again! Bravo doubling down on supporting abuse is truly demented!#TheValley #WWHL #vpr #RHOA #BelowDeck.'
