Jaime King is apparently ready to walk down the aisle all over again with a new man despite recently losing physical custody of her two sons following a two-year, acrimonious divorce battle with ex-husband Kyle Newman (pictured June 20)

Jaime King's Love Life Heats Up as She Locks Down New Beau Amid Custody Battle Drama!

In a shocking turn of events, Hollywood actress Jaime King has announced her engagement to new beau Austin Sosa just months after losing physical custody of her two sons in a messy divorce battle with ex-husband Kyle Newman. The 46-year-old Next Model star's whirlwind romance comes as she's still reeling from the aftermath of her highly publicized split.

A New Love in Town

The 46-year-old Next Model reportedly got engaged to Family Office investor Austin Sosa (pictured) after 'staying with his parents' when her landlord Sheila Irani locked her out of her LA home for failing to pay over $42K in back rent back in March

According to insiders, Jaime has been spending plenty of quality time with Sosa, even moving in with his parents temporarily after being locked out of her LA home by her landlord Sheila Irani for failing to pay over $42K in back rent. It seems the actress has found solace in her new beau's loving arms, and the feeling is mutual.

"Austin's family is very close to Jaime," a source exclusively told TheScholarlyNote.com on Tuesday. "She's really fallen for him, and he's been very supportive during this difficult time."

Jaime was spotted rocking her new diamond sparkler after an appointment at Sally Hershberger Salon in West Hollywood on Monday. While little is known about Austin aside from his impressive resume with financial institutions like Citi, Bank of America, and Merrill Lynch, insiders hint that he may be a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) having attended Brigham Young University.

The Ex Files

Jaime's divorce from Kyle Newman was nothing short of acrimonious. The 49-year-old music video director accused her of being a "chronic drug addict and alcoholic" in court documents, leading to a heated custody battle that left Jaime reeling. An LA Superior Court judge ultimately granted Kyle sole physical custody of their two sons, James Knight (11) and Leo Thames (turning 10 next week), while Jaime will continue to share legal custody.

Jaime has only tagged Austin in one Instagram post from June 8 in which she thanked him along with four 'family forever' friends and wrote: 'My God, I am the luckiest and most great mother ever'

The Custody Drama

As part of her supervised visitation agreement, Jaime is only allowed to see her sons three times a week in specific hour blocks due to her failure to complete a six-month drug/alcohol program with weekly testing, aftercare, and a two-step program. She also missed out on a 26-week parenting program, individual counseling, and conjoint counseling.

Jaime's Take

In March, an LA Superior Court judge granted Kyle (L, pictured in 2016) sole physical custody of their two sons - James Knight, 11; and Leo Thames, turning 10 next week - while King will continue to share legal custody

In an emotional interview on the Whine Down podcast in April, Jaime opened up about her struggles as a mother, saying, "My duty as a mother is to protect my children. And that's all that matters to me. This is scary... I just didn't know when I got married at a young age. I just didn't know that the world works like this."

Kyle's Claim

Newman, on the other hand, claimed in legal documents that Jaime repeatedly failed to pay him court-ordered child support and spousal support, leaving him broke and forced to take on sole responsibility for their sons.

The Lights Out actress' supervised visitation entails seeing little James and Leo 'three times a week in specific hour blocks' because she failed to complete a six-month drug/alcohol program, a 26-week parenting program, and more

The Love Life of Exes

In a bizarre twist, Kyle went on to marry his 32-year-old girlfriend, Cynthia "Cyn" Nabozny (17 years younger), just eight months after Jaime filed for divorce. The couple wed in Hawaii on Valentine's Day, with Cyn welcoming their four-year-old son Etienne and daughter Beatrix, who turns two next month.

The Future

Jaime lamented on the Whine Down podcast April 10: 'My duty as a mother is to protect my children. And that¿s all that matters to me. This is scary...I just didn't know when I got married at a young age. I just didn't know that the world works like this. I didn't know that legal systems work like this'

As Jaime looks to the future with her new beau, she's also gearing up for a career comeback. Her latest film, Love, Danielle, is set to screen at the Woods Hole Film Festival in Massachusetts on July 29.

King alleged that Newman - who called her a 'chronic drug addict and alcoholic' in legal docs - misrepresented the early part of their relationship in court in order to receive sole custody (pictured in 2017)

The Nebraska-born blonde said: 'It's terrifying, when to be able to be free means that you have to pay a very extreme price, and I¿m not just talking about financially. It's very upsetting, and I will do everything in my power to change this system'

Following 13 years of marriage, Jaime filed for divorce from Kyle on May 18, 2020 - five days after he officially began dating Cynthia 'Cyn' Nabozny (pictured in 2024) who, at 32, is 17 years younger

On February 14, Newman wed the singer in Hawaii after she welcomed their four-year-old son Etienne and daughter Beatrix, who turns 2 next month
