SPOILER ALERT: THE SCANDALOUS LOVE LIFE OF DIANE KEATON EXPOSED

In a shocking revelation, the world has lost one of its most iconic stars, Diane Keaton, who passed away on Saturday at the ripe age of 79. But what's even more scandalous is the behind-the-scenes drama that went down on the set of her hit romantic comedy, Something's Gotta Give.

According to insiders, the film's writer-director, Nancy Meyers, had a stroke of genius when she cast Jack Nicholson and Keaton as the leads in 2003. The unconventional choice of two late-middle-aged actors was a risk that paid off big time - earning $266 million worldwide on a relatively meager budget of $80 million.

But what really got tongues wagging is the money, honey! It turns out that Keaton's co-star, Nicholson, was raking it in from the film's massive profits. In fact, he even volunteered to give Keaton her fair share - a whopping sum of money that arrived unexpectedly in her mail.

In an interview with Vulture magazine, Keaton dished about her working relationship with Nicholson: "I hadn't seen Jack, besides passing him, like, twice in 25 years... So I didn't know what he would be like. Because in that span of time, you know, Jack became larger than legendary."

It's no secret that Keaton and Nicholson have a complicated history - the two were romantically linked in the past, but it seems they still maintained a professional relationship on set. However, sources close to the actress revealed that she was "stunned" when she received the large check with a "lot of zeros" for her back-end percentage.

But what's even more juicy is Keaton's personal life. The Oscar-winning actress led a fiercely independent life, adopting two children in her 50s and remaining unmarried - despite past relationships with major Hollywood names like Woody Allen, Warren Beatty, Al Pacino, and Jack Nicholson.

In an interview with People magazine, a friend of the family revealed: "She declined very suddenly, which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her. It was so unexpected, especially for someone with such strength and spirit."

It seems that Keaton's closest family members were by her side in her final months - but even longtime friends weren't aware of what was happening behind closed doors.

The film would go on to earn $266 million worldwide from a comparatively meagre $80 million budget and would earn Keaton her fourth Academy Award nomination

As the world mourns the loss of this Hollywood legend, we can't help but wonder: what secrets did Keaton take to her grave?
