Inside Michael Jordan's $9.5M Mansion: A Peek into the Legend's Private Oasis

After over a decade on the market, Michael Jordan's Highland Park mansion sold in 2024

EXCLUSIVE: The Ultimate Playground for Celebrities and Billionaires: Michael Jordan's Old Mansion Open for Rent on Airbnb!

Imagine stepping into a world of luxury, where the gates of opulence swing open to reveal a private oasis across 7.39 acres. Welcome to Champions Point, the former residence of basketball legend Michael Jordan, now available for rent on Airbnb! For a jaw-dropping $100,000 per week (or $89,000 per month), you can live like a legend in this 56,000-square-foot mansion.

The Nebraska native who purchased the property, John Cooper, has spared no expense in maintaining the estate's grandeur. With seven bedrooms and 17.5 bathrooms, this sprawling complex is a true marvel of excess. But it's not just the amenities that make Champions Point special – it's the history that lingers behind every door.

As you stroll through the gates (which proudly display the iconic No. 23), you'll notice a plethora of nostalgic touches paying homage to Jordan's legacy. The indoor basketball court, golf flags, and digital thermostat all feature his signature 'Jumpman' logo. And if you're feeling lucky, you can even test your poker skills at the cigar lounge, complete with a humidor and card tables.

But it's not just the games that are lit – the entire estate is a veritable playground for the rich and famous. The putting green, circular infinity pool, and gym are all open to guests. And if you're feeling peckish, head down to the wine tasting area in the cellar or request private chef services.

The pièce de résistance, however, might just be the ornate table-top designed to resemble a map of Baghdad – a unique touch commissioned especially for Jordan. And for those looking to relax and unwind, there's even a salon on site where you can request private barber, chef, or lessons services.

The home - which can fit up to 12 guests - has a seven-night minimum stay that costs six figures

Cooper, a former stockbroker turned real-estate executive, has been careful to maintain the property's integrity while also opening it up to new experiences. "I purchased the property as an investment," he explains. "It is so beautiful – the landscaping is incredible... it seemed like a fun and exciting project with lots of opportunities and a good financial upside."

So far, no one has taken the plunge and booked a stay at Champions Point through Airbnb (although several requests are in the works). But Cooper is optimistic about the property's potential as a luxury rental. "I envision keeping this property for a long time," he says.

Of course, there have been some bumps along the way – including a co-ownership plan that's currently in dispute with the city of Highland Park. But Cooper remains undeterred. "There are a lot of great ideas on how the property could be best used... Unfortunately, most of those ideas require zoning relief, which is a slow and uncertain process. I am exploring these options."

Jordan bought seven acres of land in 1991 before spending around $50 million building the home

For now, Champions Point remains open for rent, offering an unparalleled experience for those willing to shell out the big bucks. So if you're ready to live like a legend (or at least try), get ready to make some unforgettable memories in this extraordinary estate.
