Inside Friends: Dr. P's Guilty Plea and the Dark Shadows Over Matthew Perry’s Final Days

A doctor is expected to plead guilty to four counts of ketamine distribution in Matthew Perry 's death.

SHOCKING TRAGEDY ROCKS HOLLYWOOD: MATTHEW PERRY'S DOCTOR AND ASSISTANT EMBROILED IN KETAMINE SCANDAL

In a shocking turn of events, Matthew Perry's doctor, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of ketamine distribution in connection with the Friends star's tragic overdose death at the age of 54. But it gets even juicier - his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, and several other accomplices have been implicated in a massive ketamine ring that supplied the anesthetic to Perry in the months leading up to his untimely demise.

The scandal has left Hollywood reeling, with many questioning how such a notorious operation could be conducted under the radar. But as we dig deeper into the shocking details, one thing is clear: Dr. Plasencia and his cohorts were willing to do whatever it took to keep their lucrative ketamine business running smoothly - even if it meant risking lives.

Plasencia - who was nicknamed 'Dr. P' - has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine, which carries a statutory maximum sentence of 40 years in federal prison

According to court documents obtained by The Scholarly Note, Dr. Plasencia had been prescribing ketamine to Perry for depression treatment, but things took a dark turn when the doctor began supplying the anesthetic in large quantities to Iwamasa and others. In one instance, Plasencia injected Perry with a double dose of ketamine, which sent his systolic blood pressure soaring to life-threatening levels.

The operation was massive, with multiple sources providing the illicit substance to Iwamasa, who would then administer it to Perry on numerous occasions. The assistant even went so far as to instruct Perry's other doctor, Mark Chavez, to obtain ketamine for him - and Plasencia would often meet up with Chavez to exchange vials of the anesthetic in parking lots and shopping plazas.

But it wasn't just Dr. Plasencia and Iwamasa involved in the scandal. Erik Fleming, a friend of Perry's, was also implicated in the operation, messaging Iwamasa about purchasing ketamine from a mysterious woman known as "The Ketamine Queen," Jasveen Sangha. Sangha, who has not yet entered a plea deal, is currently being held in custody awaiting trial.

As investigators dug deeper into the case, they uncovered a complex web of deceit and corruption that went all the way to the top. Iwamasa, who had been injecting Perry with ketamine on multiple occasions, even asked Fleming for more vials after Perry's regular doctor refused to prescribe him any more. And when Plasencia was confronted about his role in the scandal, he allegedly texted Chavez saying "I know you mentioned taking a break. I have been stocking up."

But it wasn't just the medical professionals involved in the scandal - Perry himself had become embroiled in the operation, purchasing large quantities of ketamine from Sangha and others. In fact, court documents reveal that Perry's assistant even went so far as to purchase 25 vials of ketamine at a time, with some purchases costing upwards of $5,500.

The tragic events leading up to Perry's death are now clear: on October 28, 2023, Iwamasa gave Perry three injections of ketamine in the morning, and then another two later that day. The actor was found dead face-down in his jacuzzi at around 4 p.m., with ketamine being listed as the primary cause of death.

As the investigation continues to unfold, it's clear that Dr. Plasencia and his accomplices will face severe consequences for their roles in Perry's tragic overdose death. With Iwamasa having already pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine, Fleming agreeing to plead guilty to distributing ketamine resulting in death, and Chavez set to plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute the drug, it remains to be seen what will happen to Plasencia and Sangha.

One thing is certain, however - this scandal has left a dark stain on Hollywood, and raises serious questions about the ethics of medical professionals and their involvement in the opioid epidemic. Stay tuned as we continue to follow this shocking story and bring you updates as more information becomes available.
