SHOCKING CELEBRITY MEDICAL EMERGENCY: HOME ALONE LEGEND DANIEL STERN HOSPITALIZED

In a shocking turn of events, beloved Home Alone star Daniel Stern was rushed to the emergency room after suffering a medical emergency earlier this month. The 68-year-old actor, who brought the iconic villain Marv to life in the 1990 classic and its sequel, has been released from hospital with his representative confirming he's in good health.

According to sources close to the star, Stern was taken to a hospital in Somis, California, on October 7th after firefighters responded to a medical emergency at his residence. The Ventura County Fire Department confirmed they were involved in the incident but declined to provide further details.

But what we do know is that Daniel Stern has led a fascinating life behind the scenes of Hollywood's most iconic films. In a surprise move, he left the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown to live on a farm and grow tangerines! That's right; the actor turned his back on the red carpet for a simpler life.

In an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note.com, Stern revealed that he works as a cattle rancher, grows tangerines, and even practices sculpture in his free time. Who knew the star of one of the most beloved holiday movies of all time would trade in his script for a pair of overalls?

But before he hung up his acting boots, Daniel Stern had to fight tooth and nail for fair pay on the set of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The actor has written extensively about his experiences in his memoir, Home And Alone, where he recalls being offered a paltry $600,000 for the sequel.

Stern, 68, who memorably played thief Marv in 1990's Home Alone and its sequel in 1992, was rushed to the emergency room on October 7, per TMZ

In an astonishing revelation, Stern revealed that Joe Pesci, who played his bumbling sidekick Harry, was making a whopping $2 to $3 million – four times what Stern was initially offered! But Stern didn't back down; instead, he took matters into his own hands and negotiated with the studios himself. Yes, you read that right – Daniel Stern fired his agent over this very issue!

"I asked if that was the same as Joe [Pesci] was getting, and they said it was not," Stern revealed in an interview with The Los Angeles Times. "I wanted to get paid at least half of what my co-star was making, so I decided to take matters into my own hands."

The negotiations were a grueling process, with Stern asking for $1.5 million plus two percent of the gross profits. But he refused to back down, even when producers asked him to start filming without a finalized contract.

He asked Twentieth Century Fox for more money because Joe Pesci, who played his Wet Bandits sidekick Harry, was making around $2 to $3 million

"I knew they couldn't do the movie without me, but I was also insecure since I almost blew it the first time," Stern confessed. "I didn't want to be too greedy when I loved the movie and the part so much."

And love the part he did; Daniel Stern brought Marv to life in a way that has become iconic in cinema history. But what's even more fascinating is that Stern was almost let go from the first Home Alone film – yes, you read that right!

In an astonishing revelation, Stern revealed that he considered leaving the project when the shooting schedule was extended from six weeks to two months without a corresponding pay raise. He even went so far as to walk off set before producers begged him to return.

"I got a call saying they had redone the shooting schedule and they would now need me for eight weeks instead of six," Stern explained. "They were asking me to add on 33 percent more shooting time, so I asked if they were going to raise my salary the same amount, and they said they would not."

Fortunately for fans of the franchise, Daniel Stern's hard work paid off – he ended up getting his way and secured a lucrative deal that has made him one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood.

As we wish Daniel Stern a speedy recovery from his recent medical emergency, it's clear that this Home Alone legend is still going strong. Who knows what other secrets he'll reveal about his fascinating life behind the scenes? Only time will tell!
