Hilary Duff's Ageless Comeback: Plastic Surgery or Pure Magic?
HILARY DUFF'S AGELESS APPEARANCE HAS SOCIAL MEDIA GOING WILD - BUT HAS SHE GONE TOO FAR?
The pop star, now 38 and back on the music scene after a decade-long hiatus, has been spotted looking remarkably youthful at Milan Fashion Week last month. But fans are questioning whether her ageless appearance is down to good genes or some serious plastic surgery.
Hilary Duff's return to music has been highly anticipated, and she's been working tirelessly with Atlantic Records on new material. However, it seems like the former teen pop idol has also been focusing on a more personal project - her looks. The actress has been accused of undergoing multiple procedures to maintain her youthful appearance, including cheek augmentations, lip fillers, Botox, and even a facelift.
Beauty influencer Dana Omari sparked the controversy when she took to social media to share her thoughts on Duff's changing looks. "At first glance, it looks like she's had a nose job, brow lift, probably a facelift, cheek augmentations, lip fillers, Botox, Dysport etc," she wrote on her popular account, IG Famous by Dana.
But is Duff really as desperate for plastic surgery as some fans are making out? Dr. Yael Halaas, a board-certified plastic surgeon who has not treated the actress, believes that while Duff may have dabbled in injectables over the years, she doesn't think she's had any major surgery.
"I don't think Hilary Duff has had much changes to her face, but she does look like she had filler to her cheeks," Dr. Halaas told TheScholarlyNote.com. "Upon looking at her side profile, it's my opinion that there is an excess of volume that gives her that C-shape under the eyes, along with the sides of the upper part of her cheek."
Dr. Halaas continued to explain how some people can achieve a younger appearance through injectables, which can sometimes look natural when done correctly. "It can appear to look natural, making people wonder what was really done," she said. "She's a perfect example of this."
Duff herself has never publicly commented on whether or not she's had any work done. But earlier this year, her husband Matthew Koma came to her defense after a commenter accused her of using Botox to achieve her youthful appearance.
Koma shot back at the commenter with a fiery response, saying "Get f*ed butterfly." The mom-of-four has been keeping busy with her upcoming music projects, including a documentary series with concert director Sam Welch about her return to music after ten years.
In a 2022 cover story for Women's Health, Duff opened up about her desire to prioritize her mental health over physical appearance. "We bust our a** to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can," she said. "But I want to work on the inside."
However, it seems like some fans think she's gone too far in her pursuit of looking youthful. But with Duff's new music project just around the corner, it remains to be seen whether she'll continue to focus on maintaining her ageless appearance or prioritize her mental health as she said she would.
