Hilaria Baldwin Faces Backlash for Mocking DWTS Contestants

Hilaria Baldwin may have been saved from elimination on Dancing With The Stars - but she is still disgruntled that she ended up in the bottom three and isn't shy about showing it

Hilaria Baldwin's Dancing on Thin Ice: DWTS Drama, Accent-Gate, and a Side of Snakey Social Media

The drama is heating up in the ballroom, folks! Hilaria Baldwin, the yoga instructor turned reality TV star, is making waves with her behavior both on and off the dance floor. The 41-year-old mom-of-seven, paired with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko, managed to squeak by elimination on last week's episode of Dancing With The Stars - but it seems she's still got a major beef with the show.

According to a Reddit user who snapped a screenshot of Baldwin's comment section, it appears that Hilaria liked a post from a fan who trashed the other contestants and questioned the scoring system. Yes, you read that right - the woman who was just saved from elimination is seemingly siding with someone who thinks the judges are biased against her.

A Reddit user shared a screenshot of Baldwin's comment section, where one viewer had disparaged the other contestants as well as the scoring of the show - which Alec Baldwin's wife had apparently liked

The comment in question read: "I loved your dance. Honestly I didn't understand why the scores were so low... Other participants didn't perform as well as you did, and they got higher scores. Very disappointing... not credible at all." The poster seemed to think that Hilaria was robbed of a higher score, and by liking this comment, it's clear that she agrees.

But here's the thing - fans are calling her out for being insincere and ungrateful. "I haven't seen any of the other stars liking comments that put the other dancers down and say the show lacks credibility because she didn't get better scores than the other dancers," one Reddit user pointed out. "I've actually been open to her, even with her dance history, but this is off-putting to me."

It's not the first time Hilaria has made headlines for her behavior on social media. Back in 2020, she faced backlash for faking a Spanish accent - and it seems she may have reverted back to it during an interview with Good Morning America after her previous performance.

Viewers took to Twitter to mock her for speaking in a fake accent, calling it "nails in a chalkboard" and asking why she insists on sounding like a toddler. Some even accused her of being insincere, saying she's trying too hard to sound Hispanic.

But what really has fans scratching their heads is Hilaria's attempt to explain why she thinks she got picked for the show. In an interview with The Scholarly Note.com (formerly Daily Mail), she revealed that it was all thanks to her social media presence - specifically, those dancing videos on Instagram and TikTok.

"I was just playing around," she said, "I like to play on my Instagram and TikTok and people started writing in and apparently they were writing to DWTS and then DWTS called me and I was like this is crazy, but like let's do it, let's have fun and have an adventure."

Tuesday night's episode ended in a double elimination and left Hilaria Baldwin, 41, in the bottom three

But here's the thing - her husband Alec Baldwin seems to be enjoying the extra attention. "He's been doing the TikToks with me, hasn't he?" Hilaria cooed in the interview. "And now he gets a little relief. I'll be bothering Gleb now." Yeah, because nothing says "little relief" like your wife being on reality TV.

It seems like Hilaria Baldwin's DWTS journey is going to be filled with drama - both on and off the dance floor. Will she manage to keep her cool and take home that Mirrorball trophy? Only time will tell.
