Nicole Curtis's wildly popular show Rehab Addict was pulled from the HGTV lineup after just two of the new season's episodes aired

Nicole Curtis Shocks Fans: Rehab Addict Pulled from HGTV Lineup After Just Two Episodes - But There's a Twist!

In a move that left fans of the bubbly blonde sensation reeling, Nicole Curtis's wildly popular show Rehab Addict was yanked from the HGTV lineup after just two episodes of its new season had aired. The abrupt decision sent shockwaves through social media, with followers of the 48-year-old TV personality frantically searching for answers.

But don't worry, Nicole lovers - it wasn't because of any health issues or personal crises that would keep her from sharing her passion for home renovation with the world. Instead, the dynamic star took control and made the executive decision to shelf the rest of the new season's episodes until fall.

That move caused fans of the bubbly blonde from Detroit to worry that something had happened to her

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Nicole thanked her devoted fans for their unwavering support, which had propelled Rehab Addict to debut at number one. She then revealed that she and her family had been pondering why they were giving up summer when they could simply wait until autumn to get the show back on track.

"I made the decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall," Nicole wrote. "I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice... It's just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air, and we thought - why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall?"

But don't think that means fans won't be getting their fix of Nicole's signature style and renovation expertise. HGTV has decided to air David Bromstad's Lottery Dream House in place of Rehab Addict, much to the delight of viewers who are no doubt thrilled to see more of the charismatic host.

But fans need not worry, Nicole pulled the show herself, to give herself the summer off

And speaking of Bromstad, Nicole revealed that he was her "beach buddy" during their time filming Beach Flip together in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She even shared a fun fact: David's show has just been added to HBO Max and Discovery+!

So, what's behind Nicole's decision to take a summer break from Rehab Addict? The star confessed to People that she had experienced a major setback in her life that left her feeling shaken to the core. But instead of letting it get her down, she prayed for guidance and made a decision that would change everything.

"I had a setback in my life that just rocked me to the core, and it was one of those moments where I thought, how do I get through this one?" Nicole recalled. "I prayed on it and it was just devastating for me... I had to make a decision right there and then like, 'Okay, we're going to let this affect us for a very long time, or we're going to pick it up and go'."

The HGTV star took to Instagram to explain her decision to her fans so that they are not confused by her good friend David Bromstad's Lottery Dream House that is airing in her show's place

And what did she do next? Well, Nicole packed her bags, left Detroit behind, and embarked on an impromptu adventure to Corfu, Greece via Paris. But in a surprising twist, she forgot her wallet - leaving her with just $72 in cash!

"I didn't realize until I was up in the air paying for my WiFi that I left my wallet behind," Nicole shared. "I didn't have a credit card on me... So I landed in Paris without a wallet. I thought, well, you know what? This is it. This is my test. I'm going to figure it out.'"

Miraculously, a friend was able to transfer some funds via Western Union, allowing Nicole to continue her journey. And she made the most of her time in Paris, taking to the streets on foot and by bike.

Nicole, 48, began by thanking her viewers for making her show debut at number one before she dove into what was going on

"I put on my running shoes, I ran all the way around the Eiffel Tower and I biked around the Champs-Élysées," she recalled. "I did everything I wanted to do."

But despite the thrill of exploring a new city, Nicole's heart remained in Wyoming, where an irresistible house rehab project beckoned her back stateside.

As Rehab Addict returns this fall with fresh episodes, fans are no doubt eager to see what Nicole has in store for them. And judging by her Instagram post, it seems she's ready to dive back into the world of home renovation with renewed energy and a sense of purpose.

I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice,' she began

"I'm going to figure it out," she wrote, echoing her sentiments from that fateful day in Paris. "This was my test... And I made it through."
