Heidi Klum's Superstar Son Graduates with Honors, But Where's Daddy Seal?
The world may be fixated on her sizzling runway commentary, but Heidi Klum's heart belongs to her kids - and we're not just talking about the famous ones! The 52-year-old supermodel and TV personality beamed with pride as her youngest son Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, 18, walked off the stage at Campbell Hall on Wednesday, donning a dashing cap and gown.
The nepo baby (and yes, he's a real-life celebrity kid!) celebrated his graduation from the prestigious Studio City private school in style, with none other than mom Heidi cheering him on every step of the way. "Cheering you on today and every day," she gushed on Instagram, accompanied by a heartwarming photo of Johan looking dapper alongside big bro Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, 19.
But amidst all the joy and jubilation, one question lingered: where was Daddy Seal? The four-time Grammy winner (and Johan's famous father) was noticeably absent from the graduation festivities - perhaps he had a prior commitment to his next gig at the Moroccan music festival Jazzablanca 2025 in Casablanca on July 3?
Heidi, of course, has had her fair share of high-profile relationships and marriages. She and Seal, who are also proud parents of 15-year-old daughter Lou and adopted daughter Leni (with Flavio Briatore), were married for seven years before their split in 2012.
But back to the graduation celebration - Heidi's pride was palpable as she joined her sons for this special milestone. And speaking of milestones, the Emmy-winning host is set to make a triumphant return to Project Runway for its 21st season on July 31, premiering on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu.
"It's felt like coming home, really like coming home," Heidi gushed to People on May 26. "I can do it with my eyes closed, even though I'm judging clothes, so I have to have my eyes open, but I can do it with my eyes closed. I just love fashion so much, and I love how interested they are and how they're champing at the bit to get a spot in the fashion industry. So, it's so fun to give them a platform to show what they can do."
This season, Heidi will be joined on the judging panel by OG Project Runway judge Nina García and celebrity stylist Law Roach, with Project Runway season 4 champ Christian Siriano returning as mentor to the designers.
And did you know that Heidi's not just a one-trick pony? She previously hosted Germany's Next Topmodel and even co-hosted rival competition Making the Cut on Amazon Prime Video alongside Tim Gunn for three seasons spanning 2020-2022. Talk about a fashion power player!
In February, Spice Girls alum Mel B officially replaced Heidi as judge on the 20th season of America's Got Talent, which currently airs Tuesdays on NBC/Peacock (thescholarlynote.com).
