GLENN CLOSE UNLEASHES HER INNER SEDUCTRESS AT 78: THE LEGENDARY ACTRESS BARES ALL IN NEW MOVIE AND REVEALS HER SECRET TO AGING LIKE A SUPERMODEL

In a move that's left fans and critics alike talking, the incomparable Glenn Close has pushed the boundaries of on-screen seduction once again. The 78-year-old legend has bared all for her new movie, The Summer Book, and is spilling secrets about her experiences in an exclusive interview with AARP Movies for Grownups.

Based on the novel by Finnish author Tove Jansson, Close plays Grandmother, a character who wanders naked through the forest. But don't think this was just a case of "oh, I'm an older woman, I can get away with it." Far from it. According to Close, it was her idea to go nude in the scene.

On any hesitation about going nude, she recently told AARP , 'It was my idea'; (Close seen in photo from  2004's The Stepford Wives shoot)

"I thought that's something she would do when no one else is around," Close explained. "In Finland, they're much more used to nakedness than we are." And let's be real, who wouldn't want to spend their days lounging au naturel in a Finnish forest?

But this isn't the first time Close has shown off her fearless attitude towards sex and aging. Back in 2019, she starred in The Wife, where she filmed a steamy sex scene that left audiences gasping.

At the time, Close told The Guardian, "It's one of the great myths that you lose your sexuality as you get older. I feel as free and as creative, as sexual and as eager as I ever have." And who can blame her? With those piercing eyes and that commanding presence, Close is still turning heads at 78.

Based on the novel by Finnish author Tove Jansson, Close played a character called Grandmother, and the scene finds her wandering alone through the forest

Over the years, Close has built a reputation for playing complex, sensual characters. From her iconic role in Fatal Attraction to her critically-acclaimed turn in Dangerous Liaisons, she's proven time and again that age is just a number when it comes to sex appeal.

But Close isn't just about pushing boundaries on-screen. Off-screen, she's celebrating the arrival of her first grandchild, Rory Westaway Albu, who was born in February to her daughter Annie.

"I now have a little grandson," Close gushed. "He's almost 7 months old. And I'm very aware of my role as grandmother. I'm very proud of it, and I love spending time with him." Aww, does it get any sweeter than that?

Her steamy role in Fatal Attraction remains iconic, cementing her as a master of on-screen seduction

And speaking of sweet treats, Close is keeping busy with her next big project: Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, a star-studded ensemble murder mystery set in upstate New York. With a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Josh O'Connor, and Josh Brolin, this one's going to be a real page-turner.

Close plays Martha, a devoted "servant of the church" who's hiding secrets beneath her prim exterior. And let's just say, it's not just her character's innocence that's about to take a hit. According to Close, there's more to Martha than meets the eye: "there's a part of Martha that smolders underneath her black."

Close has always been an actress who wears many hats – literally and figuratively. With over 50 years in the business under her belt, she's seen it all. But even after all these years, Close still gets butterflies when working with other actors.

CLose pushed boundaries again in Dangerous Liaisons, where her character¿s manipulations and allure drove the scandalous plot

"I've been an actress for over 50 years and realize that I am a true introvert, but not with my fellow actors, not with what it takes to create something either onstage or on film," she said in an interview with AARP. "That's my heart home besides my own family. When you have all these different actors coming together, that's heaven. That's heaven."

So there you have it, folks – Glenn Close is still the queen of seduction and creativity at 78. And if you don't believe us, just ask her. With a career spanning decades and a reputation for pushing boundaries, Close is proving once again why she's one of Hollywood's most beloved legends.
