Geri Halliwell's Silence on Mel B’s Wedding: The Spice Girls' Reunion or Rift?

Geri Halliwell has so far failed to acknowledge her Spice Girl's bandmate Mel B 's star-studded wedding on Saturday (the couple are pictured)

Spice Girls' Bickering Reaches New Heights: Mel B's Star-Studded Wedding a No-Show for Geri

The Spice Girls' drama continues, and this time it's all about who showed up - or didn't show up - to bandmate Mel B's big day. Mel B tied the knot with fiancé Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday, surrounded by a slew of A-list guests, but one Spice Girl was noticeably absent: Geri Halliwell.

Sources close to the situation claim that Victoria Beckham had long-standing plans outside of the country and simply couldn't make it to the ceremony. Emma Bunton, however, was more than happy to represent the band and looked stunning in a pink dress as she stepped out to support Mel B. But where was Geri?

Geri and Mel C (pictured) were both notably absent as Mel B said 'I do' to her fiance Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in London in front of a string of very A-list guests

The 52-year-old Ginger Spice has yet to acknowledge her former bandmate's nuptials on social media, sparking rumors of tension between the two women. Insiders claim that Victoria and Mel have always gotten along despite their different paths in life. "There is no issue between them," a source revealed to TheScholarlyNote.com. "It's just one of those things."

But what about Geri? Well, it seems the Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fuller had some words on the matter: "Geri and Mel have always been at odds, but they've never let their differences get in the way of their friendship... or so we thought." A source close to Geri revealed that she was "mortified" by Mel's bombshell revelation about their past relationship in 2019. "Mel never apologized for what she said," the insider added.

Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to share a sweet throwback photo of herself and the bride with bandmates Geri, Mel C, and Emma. The caption read: "Congratulations @officialmelb @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn't be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness!" Hours earlier, Victoria had posted another tribute to the couple on Friday with a photograph of herself and Mel looking glamorous together at a recent event.

In fact, Emma Bunton was the only Spice Girl to attend as Victoria Beckham also missed the ceremony (the band are pictured in 1997)

Mel C shared a photo of the newlyweds on Saturday evening, admitting she was "gutted" not to be there. The Spice Girl gushed in her caption: "So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn't be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!"

But what about Geri? Well, it seems the 52-year-old was too busy to attend Mel B's big day. According to sources, she has been focusing on her Formula One management business and didn't have time for a wedding.

The ceremony itself was a star-studded affair, with TV presenters Gaby Roslin and Angellica Bell, comedians Katherine Ryan and Alan Carr, Leigh Francis, Cara Delevingne, and Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fueller all in attendance. Mel B looked stunning in a pearl-adorned white gown as she walked down the aisle for the third time.

Despite her absence, Posh, 51, took to Instagram to share a sweet black and white throwback of herself and the bride with bandmates Geri, Mel C and Emma

And what about her husband-to-be Rory? Well, he opted for traditional Scottish attire complete with a red and green tartan kilt. The 37-year-old hairdresser flashed a radiant smile as he exchanged vows with his bride.

But this isn't the first time Mel B has said "I do." In fact, it's her third wedding. She first married Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998, followed by a secret elopement to Las Vegas and a vow renewal ceremony in Egypt for her marriage to Stephen Belafonte in 2007.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Mel accused Stephen of emotional and physical abuse in 2016. She later spoke out about their tumultuous relationship, saying: "He's a family friend, great hairdresser... when I went back to England, he would come over and give me hair treatments..." (And as it turns out, that was all part of his plan.)

Hours earlier, Victoria had also posted another tribute to the couple on Friday with a photograph of herself and Mel looking glamorous together at a recent event

Mel grew close to Rory after the breakdown of her marriage to Stephen. Last year, she said: "He's been a rock for me through everything." And now, they're husband and wife.

So, what do you think? Will Geri make amends with Mel B anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below!
