From Ruin to Redemption: Kevin Jonas' Financial Missteps and the Jonas Brothers’ Triumphant Return

Kevin Jonas (R, pictured June 18) revealed he lost 'most of' his money in bad business deals in the six years before his boyband Jonas Brothers miraculously reunited in 2019

JONAS BROTHERS' LEAD GUITARIST KEVIN JONAS SPILLS THE TEA ON HIS FINANCIAL DOWNFALL AND REDEMPTION

Get ready for a juicy dose of celebrity gossip, folks! In a shocking revelation, Kevin Jonas, the 37-year-old lead guitarist of the beloved boyband Jonas Brothers, has opened up about his financial struggles during the group's six-year hiatus. And trust us, it's a wild ride.

In an exclusive chat with Lewis Howes on The School of Greatness podcast, Kevin dished out the details about his failed business ventures and how they left him with just 10% of his original wealth. Yes, you read that right - MOST OF IT GONE!

But during the seemingly permanent break, the 37-year-old lead guitarist had formed his own residential development company JonasWerner, created the food app Yood, and partnered with the video-sharing app We Heart It

So, what happened? Well, it seems like Kevin got a little too big for his britches (or should we say, his guitar straps?) and started investing in various properties and business partnerships. Sounds smart, right? Wrong! It turns out that those "smart" investments turned into duds, leaving Kevin with a financial mess that even the Jonas Brothers' iconic comeback tour couldn't salvage.

"I invested in a bunch of property and doing other things and I was building at the time... sadly, it just wasn't the right partnership," Kevin confessed, trying to keep his emotions in check. "I can't really get too much into it, but the sad part is that I learned a lot of lessons from that experience."

And boy, did he ever! As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade - or in this case, when life takes away your millions, use it as an opportunity to re-evaluate and grow.

On Monday, Kevin (born Paul Jr.) admitted on Lewis Howes' (pictured) podcast The School of Greatness that he lost 'most of it, like, down to the one 10% left' back in 2016

Kevin's wife, Danielle Deleasa, must be relieved that her hubby is back on solid financial ground. After all, they're raising two adorable daughters, Alena (11) and Valentina (8), together! The couple met in 2007 while on vacation in the Bahamas - who knew that their love would withstand the test of time AND financial uncertainty?

Fast-forward to present day, and the Jonas Brothers are riding high again. Their seventh studio album, Greetings from Your Hometown, is set to drop on August 8th, followed by a massive 52-date tour, Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour, kicking off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let's take a trip down memory lane. Remember when Kevin and his brothers Nick and Joe were catapulted to fame by Disney Channel? It seems like an eternity ago! The trio has come a long way since their humble beginnings, selling over 20M records worldwide and racking up an impressive 18.5M monthly listeners on Spotify.

Jonas confessed: 'I invested in a bunch of property and doing other things and I was building at the time and, sadly, it just wasn't the right partnership if you know what I'm saying. [I] can't really get too much into it'

As Kevin astutely put it: "I look at a band like ourselves as a startup... You start in your garage, you're making music, you build your product, you go out, you get an investor. My dad was our lead investor."

And speaking of investors, we can't help but wonder if Kevin's dad, Paul Sr., has any sage advice for his son when it comes to business ventures. After all, the Jonas Brothers' patriarch has been a constant source of support throughout their career.

As the saying goes, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" - and that's exactly what Kevin did. He took his financial setbacks as an opportunity to learn and grow, and it seems like he's come out stronger on the other side. Who knew that a little bit of financial strife could lead to a juicy celebrity interview?

The backing vocalist said: 'But the sad part of it is I've learned a lot of lesson in that. And thankfully for life in general, we had a second shot and bite at the apple with the band coming back together and actually it was kind of fortuitous in a way I learned this lesson'

Kevin continued: '[I] never wanted to learn it but I did. But then, at the same time, [I] re-evaluated how to approach life from that perspective and looking to the future and at the same time [I] was able to really feel honored that we could have a second shot at it'

Unlike his younger brothers Nick and Joe, Kevin has the added responsibility of raising two daughters - Alena, 11; and Valentina, 8 - from his 15-year marriage to Danielle Deleasa (pictured in 2024)

The two-time Grammy nominees will release their seventh studio album Greetings from Your Hometown on August 8

The Jonas Brothers will then kick off their 52-date Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour, in honor of the band's 20th anniversary, on August 10 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ
