From Punk Princess to A-Lister: Liz Hurley's Unforgettable Journey

The supermodel had a little known 'punk' era to deter unwanted male attention when she was younger

Liz Hurley's Wild Ride: From Punk Rock Rebel to Hollywood Superstar

Get ready for a blast from the past! Liz Hurley, the stunning 60-year-old supermodel and actress, is taking us on a trip down memory lane with her jaw-dropping punk rock era. Yes, you read that right - punk rock!

In the 1980s, when Hurley was just a teenager, she donned bright bleached hair spiked up with gel, heavy smudged eyeliner, and a series of piercings to make herself look as "ghastly" as possible. Why, you ask? To deter unwanted male attention, that's why! The gorgeous model confessed in an interview with thescholarlynote.com: "I think what happened is that so many men took an interest, I wanted to make myself look as ghastly as possible... I did not want them to whistle any more."

This bold move wasn't just a cry for attention; it was also Hurley's way of fitting in at school. Remember those pesky classmates who made fun of her posh accent? Yep, she joined the local punks and became part of the "in crowd"! As she put it: "That was part of my rebellion - and fitting in with the others."

But little did Hurley know that this punk rock phase would eventually lead to a full-blown career in Hollywood. Fast-forward to the 1990s, when her famous safety-pin dress at the Versace premiere catapulted her to international stardom. Who could forget that iconic look?

Now, as we take a peek into Hurley's latest romance with none other than Billy Ray Cyrus (yes, THAT Billy Ray Cyrus!), it's clear that this girl knows how to shake things up! The couple, who met on the set of their holiday movie Christmas in Paradise, has been flaunting their love story ever since. And don't even get us started on the PDA-filled snaps they've shared with fans!

Billy Ray himself spilled the tea about their whirlwind romance during an interview with Apple Music Country's The Ty Bentli Show: "I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?' For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you... And in this moment... a friend reached out."

That friend happened to be none other than Elizabeth Hurley herself! Billy Ray recalled: "I didn't even know the number. So, I text back, I go, 'Who is this?' And it's like, 'Elizabeth Hurley.' Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most... this friend who made me laugh."

As their love story unfolds, we can't help but wonder: what other surprises does life have in store for these two? Stay tuned, folks!
