From Hollywood Divorce to Diamond Engagement: David Gardner's New Love Story!
SPILL THE TEA!
David Gardner, the former flame of Liv Tyler and godfather to Brooklyn Beckham's kids, has just gotten engaged to a stunning Victoria's Secret model, Jessica Clarke!
The 49-year-old sports agent, who's been in the game for decades, popped the question to his new fiancée, 32, on Instagram with a heartwarming post that had fans and friends alike swooning. The black-and-white snap showed the lovebirds snuggled up in bed, with Clarke flaunting her massive diamond ring.
Gardner's caption read: "Guess what? She said 'YES'! My best friend, I love you so much." And it looks like his famous pals are thrilled for him too - Brooklyn Beckham was one of the first to share a string of love heart emojis in the comments section!
But let's get to the tea - this news comes just four years after Gardner and Liv Tyler, 48, split. The couple shares two adorable daughters, Sailor Gene (10) and Lula Rose (9), and it seems they've remained on good terms.
In a surprising twist, insiders revealed that Gardner and Tyler had parted ways in March 2021 due to "growing apart" and living separate lives. It was also claimed that the couple's eight-week lockdown stint together earlier in the pandemic hadn't been enough to save their relationship.
A source close to the couple told The Scholarly Note (TSN) at the time: "Dave and Liv spent all of the first lockdown together, and they're a great team as parents. But unfortunately, they've grown apart, and increasingly they've been living separate lives."
It seems Gardner has moved on in style, though - his new fiancée, Clarke, is not only a stunning beauty but also a wellness entrepreneur and founder of Mother Made.
But what's even more interesting is the connection between Gardner and David Beckham. The two have been friends for decades, with Gardner even serving as godfather to Beckham's children. In fact, it was Beckham who was "a rock" during Gardner's tough times after his split from Tyler!
Gardner's journey to success began at a young age - he joined the Manchester United Youth team at just 14 and became fast friends with Ryan Giggs and David Beckham. Although he left the club in his late teens, it wasn't long before he set up Elite Sports Agency with Jason Ferguson (Six), son of Alex Ferguson.
Gardner's friendship with Beckham has stood the test of time - the two have even embarked on wild adventures together, including a "find yourself" lads' holiday to Brazil in 2014!
But that's not all - Gardner's personal life has been just as drama-filled. In his early twenties, he was involved with model Stacey Cooke, but their relationship ended abruptly when Cooke left him for Ryan Giggs (yes, the same one!).
Gardner and his then-partner Davinia Taylor eventually married in 2003, with Beckham serving as best man at a star-studded ceremony. The couple had a son, Grey, and were part of the famous Notting Hill set - but their relationship ultimately crumbled due to Taylor's struggles with bipolar disorder.
Gardner has since kept a low profile on the showbiz circuit, but it looks like he's back in the game with his new fiancée!
