In a candid interview on ITV's Lorraine, Frankie Grande stunned Ranvir Singh with his bold and unapologetic attitude towards his sister Ariana's skyrocketing fame. The 42-year-old performer, who has just released his brand-new album Hotel Rock Bottom, appeared on the show to discuss his latest project, but things quickly turned to his younger sister's success.

Ranvir, 47, couldn't help but bring up Ariana's recent role as Glinda in the blockbuster musical Wicked, and Frankie responded with a confident and heartfelt defense of his sister. "It is true," he began, "I remember when I was on Big Brother, they said Frankie, one of the 'zings' that I got for being on the show... 'I'm surprised you're so tan when you're always standing in your sister's shadow.' It's a joke, but I do understand my sister is such an unbelievable mega star. I'm so proud of her."

Frankie went on to reveal how he helped raise Ariana from a young age and was there for every step of her journey to stardom. "To think of jealousy when it comes to her is a ridiculous emotion," he stated firmly. "It's never been a thing. I love her soul wholeheartedly." He continued, "If she's the sun, then great, I'll be Jupiter, do you know what I am saying? It's great. I am so thrilled for her at all times."

Ariana's rise to fame began in the early 2000s with her breakout role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious. Since then, she has become one of the world's biggest popstars, releasing seven albums and nine number one singles. Her other notable roles include Sam & Cat, Windle, Underdogs, Hairspray Live!, Don't Look Up, and most recently, Wicked.

Frankie's own music career may not have reached the same heights as his sister's, but his latest album Hotel Rock Bottom is a deeply personal and introspective exploration of his own struggles with addiction. In an emotional moment on Lorraine, Frankie revealed how writing the album was a therapeutic experience that helped him confront his past demons.

"When I started to write," he explained, "it's interesting writing at 42 years old, you have ground to cover, if you go chronologically through the album, it starts in my messy party days. The song Messy is a true thing, where I was like 'I just want to go to the club', I don't want to look pretty, I want to be a mess, that's my goal for the evening."

Frankie then went on to discuss how his experiences in London, particularly after the One Love Manchester concert, inspired some of the album's most poignant tracks. "It being the title track is beautiful and poignant and necessary," he said. "Nothing in my life, including the rest of the album, I wouldn't be sitting with you today, had I not hit my rock bottom and catapulted myself from that position like a trampoline."

The interview took an unexpected turn when Ranvir praised Frankie's outfit, comparing it to Geri Halliwell's iconic style during her Spice Girls days. "I thought I'd honor where I am now," Frankie said with a smile.
