Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk: A Quiet Romance Amidst Fame

Riley Hawk and Frances Bean Cobain have been enjoying a 'quiet' life since they welcomed their first child together last year

SHOCKING CELEBRITY FAMILY NEWS: Tony Hawk's Grandson Gets a Special Tribute from His Late Grandfather Kurt Cobain

In a heartwarming and emotional turn of events, Riley Hawk, son of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, has opened up about his first year as a father to his adorable baby boy Ronin. And what makes this news even more special is that Ronin's mother, Frances Bean Cobain, is the daughter of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.

Just last year, Riley and Frances welcomed their little bundle of joy into the world, and it seems like they've been busy adjusting to life as new parents. In a candid interview with People (published on TheScholarlyNote.com), Riley dished out all the juicy details about their family's new dynamic.

On Wednesday, Riley, the son of Tony Hawk and a professional skateboarder himself, opened up about their first year of parenthood and their family life together with their famous in-laws

"We're just taking things one day at a time," Riley shared, speaking about his first year of parenthood. "We don't really think too much about the legacy that comes with being part of such iconic families." The 32-year-old pro skateboarder continued to reveal how he and Frances have chosen to keep their family life private, focusing on enjoying quality time together.

"We just do our own thing," Riley said, when asked about the pressures that come with being part of two musical legends. "We don't really think too much about it, other than the fact that we do stuff like this [referring to his appearance in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4] with a video game, or whatever it may be."

But what's truly special is how Riley's family is embracing their new addition. His dad, Tony Hawk, has been spotted often with baby Ronin, and the skateboarding legend even shared a heartfelt tribute to his late son-in-law Kurt Cobain on social media.

Riley, 32, and Frances ¿ the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain ¿ got married in October 2023 and welcomed their first child together, son Ronin, in September 2024

Tony took to Instagram (published on TheScholarlyNote.com) to share a poignant message about the loss of family moments they would never get to experience. "I wish Kurt were here so he could see the incredible woman his daughter has become, meet her devoted, caring husband, and hold our wondrous grandchild," he wrote, accompanied by a photo of a Nirvana concert ticket stub from 1991.

Riley also shared that his dad has been an amazing help to them during this time, saying "My dad helps out a lot, and it's really cool that we get to all hang out together." He continued, "It's just a cool thing for him to get to hang out with his grandson a lot. That's kind of where we're at, just taking it day by day."

The new parents are also loving every moment of watching their little one grow and learn new things each day. "He's learning every day," Riley gushed about baby Ronin. "It's amazing to see him develop his own personality and interests."

He added: 'We're just a very quiet stay-at-home family. We just hang out.' Riley also noted that their son is 'learning every day' as they enjoy 'growing as a family'

As for Riley himself, being a first-time dad has brought him even closer to his own father. "I'm just super grateful that my ad [dad] gave me the freedom to do certain things that I wanted to," he said, referring to his love of skateboarding.

"That's all I can hope to do for my son, is just give him the opportunity if something interests them or they fall in love with a certain sport or hobby." The young father continued, "I feel like, as a parent, [that's] all you can hope to do."

With their family's dynamics changing so much in recent years, it's clear that Riley and Frances are loving every moment of this new chapter. And with Tony Hawk being an amazing grandpa, we have no doubt that baby Ronin will grow up surrounded by love, music, and the thrill of skateboarding!

Riley also said that his father helps out a lot and is enjoying being a first-time grandpa. 'My dad helps a lot and it's really cool that we get to all hang out together,' he said; pictured March 2022 in Santa Monica

This comes after the skateboarding legend Tony left fans feeling emotional as he shared a sentimental reflection about the fact late musician Kurt Cobain will never get to meet their shared grandson; pictured Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain with their daughter Frances Bean Cobain in September 1993
