Fergie's Union Jack Dress Makes Waves in London for Netflix Rom-Com
FERGIE MAKES A TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO THE SMALL SCREEN: SINGER, 49, Wows IN UNION JACK DRESS WHILE FILMING NEW ROM-COM SERIES TOO MUCH
The wait is finally over for fans of Fergie as the chart-topping singer makes a surprise comeback to the big screen in Netflix's brand-new romantic comedy series Too Much. The London Bridge hitmaker, 49, has been spotted filming on location in the UK capital alongside American comedian Megan Stalter, and we have all the juicy details.
Fergie is set to star in the new rom-com as part of a sizzling promotional shoot that will leave you begging for more. And let's be honest, who wouldn't want to see the Black Eyed Peas singer back on our screens? The news comes after Lena Dunham, the mastermind behind Girls, revealed that Fergie was handpicked for her new project.
The singer's high-energy scenes alongside Megan have been generating buzz around town, with fans and passersby alike unable to take their eyes off the dynamic duo. And it's no wonder why – Fergie is looking absolutely stunning in an extravagant Union Jack dress that left onlookers doing double takes. The dress, complete with triangular breast cups, mesh skirt layering, and a Union Jack flag train, was paired perfectly with platform chunky lace-up heels and a black top hat adorned with a feather.
But what really caught our attention is the fact that Fergie has been reworking her 2006 chart-topping banger London Bridge for the new series. The track will be the official soundtrack to Too Much, which hits Netflix on July 10. The rom-com also stars Will Sharpe, Emily Ratajkowski, Naomi Watts, and Stephen Fry.
So what can we expect from this exciting new series? According to the synopsis, Jessica (played by Megan) meets Felix (played by Will Sharpe) in London and forms a connection that's impossible to ignore. But will their romance be more than just a fleeting moment?
In an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note.com last July, Lena Dunham revealed why she chose Megan for her new series. "I was not willing to have another experience like what I'd experienced around [my HBO series Girls] at this point in my life," Lena explained. "Physically, I was just not up for having my body dissected again."
Lena also revealed that she chose Megan because of her unique presence on screen. "Meg is one of the beautiful women working today," Lena gushed. "She has whatever the opposite of resting bitch face is – she has resting angel face."
But what about Fergie's role in the new series? We spoke exclusively with a source close to the production and revealed that the singer will be making a small acting appearance in the show as part of the ensemble cast.
As for Lena Dunham, we can expect her to make a brief cameo in Too Much. "I'm in the show!" she confirmed. However, it's not clear how big or small her role is – but one thing's for sure: it'll be worth watching!
The wait might be over, but we're only just getting started with this sizzling new series. Get ready to fall head over heels for Too Much when it lands on Netflix July 10.
