Fergie's Fashion Statement: 'Never Complain, Never Explain' in Infidelity Storm

Sarah Ferguson arrives at Claridge's hotel in London for the event with influencers on July 30

Fergie Fires Back at Critics with Sassy Shoe Game: 'Never Complain, Never Explain'

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, is known for her sartorial splendor, and yesterday's outing was no exception. She wore a pair of custom blue velvet loafers with the Royal Family's unofficial motto emblazoned on them - "Never Complain" on one foot and "Never Explain" on the other - to meet a group of content creators at the exclusive Claridge's hotel in London.

Fergie, 65, was signing copies of her 2021 novel, Her Heart for a Compass, as part of the Amazon Influencer Programme. The event, which took place on July 30, just two days before the scandalous new book by Andrew Lownie, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, was set to be serialised in The Scholarly Note.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Fergie shared photos of herself posing with the group, showcasing her signature style. She wrote, "Her Heart for a Compass was always meant to be a bridge between hearts, stories, and generations." The post came hours after the publication of Lownie's book, which has sent shockwaves through the Royal Family.

Fergie's shoe game is nothing new; she's been spotted wearing these very loafers before - during a night out at Oswald's private members' club in Mayfair last April. Her affinity for bold fashion statements is legendary, and her Eighties style, complete with shoulder pads, puffball skirts, and polka dot outfits, still turns heads today.

But it's not just Fergie's fashion sense that's been making headlines; Lownie's book has raised eyebrows with its explosive allegations about the Duchess of York. According to the author, Fergie had extramarital affairs with American Steve Wyatt and his friend John Bryan during her marriage to Prince Andrew. There were also claims that Andrew slept with over a dozen women in the first year of their union.

The book paints a picture of a tumultuous marriage, with friends of the couple allegedly saying that Andrew accepted Fergie's infidelities and that their marriage was effectively over. Lownie writes, "He would dine alone off a tray in his study while Sarah and one of her lovers ate together elsewhere in the house." Ouch!

Fergie has long been accused of exploiting her royal status to line her pockets. The book reveals that she used to demand lavish meals every night, including a whole side of beef, a leg of lamb, and a roast chicken. Her butler would even get up at 4:30 am to put watercress on ice for her. And if that wasn't enough, Fergie allegedly spent £25,000 in just one hour at Bloomingdales.

The author claims that the royals tried to ban his book, sending threatening letters before a word of the manuscript had been seen. Andrew and Fergie divorced in 1996 but still live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Fergie's response to Lownie's allegations? A sassy pair of shoes with a message - "Never Complain, Never Explain." It seems the Duchess is sticking to her guns, refusing to comment on the scandalous claims made about her. But one thing's for sure: this royal drama is far from over.
