BRAD PITT'S RACING BLOCKBUSTER: F1 STARS WEIGH IN ON "TRUE" STORY

The highly anticipated summer blockbuster starring Brad Pitt as a retired Formula 1 driver has finally hit theaters, and the racing community is abuzz with excitement! The movie, which grossed an impressive $144 million globally during its opening weekend at the box office, has left F1's biggest names and pros singing its praises.

But what do they really think of the film? Do they believe it's a true-to-life portrayal of their world, or is it just Hollywood magic? TheScholarlyNote.com caught up with some of the biggest stars in the sport to get their honest opinions on the movie.

After watching the summer blockbuster, which grossed an impressive $144 million globally during its opening weekend at the box office, the racing industry's biggest names and pros gave their honest reviews

Fernando Alonso, one of the most renowned F1 drivers worldwide, was among the first to weigh in. "I truly enjoyed it," he said after an advanced screening. "For us F1 experts, we're going to see things a bit like we sometimes see with [Drive to Survive]. You can tell they're a bit Hollywood-esque." But Alonso insisted that, overall, he "enjoyed the whole film."

However, not everyone was as impressed. Esteban Ocon, French motorsports racing driver, pointed out that some aspects of the movie didn't quite ring true for him. "There were things that didn't make too much sense for us as drivers being inside the paddock," he explained. "For us, there are a few things that I would have liked to be more racing-focused and maybe a bit less crashing."

But despite some minor quibbles, Ocon was adamant that the film is a must-see for fans of all ages. "It's still by far the best racing movie of all time," he said confidently. "And it will have a mega success."

Fernando Alonso, one of the most renowned F1 drivers worldwide, alongside Charles Leclerc and Nico Hülkenberg, are among the racing elite who pulled back the curtain on just how real the movie felt

Charles Leclerc, last year's Monaco Grand Prix winner, took a more diplomatic approach. "We are looking at it as Formula 1 drivers and we always try to see all the small details that are not exactly [accurate]," he noted. "But it's just very Hollywood-like, and I think that's really cool because it's not for F1 drivers, it's for a broader audience."

Leclerc was particularly impressed by the film's driving scenes. "The scenes are incredible," he said. "And something we've never seen before." He also praised Brad Pitt's on-screen presence, saying, "I know that Brad drove a little bit himself, which is very impressive and I'm sure he enjoyed it."

Nico Hülkenberg was more philosophical in his assessment of the movie. "It's Hollywood, so you need to take a step back and see the broader picture," he said wisely. "It's not about the fine details, but I think it's still a new, fresh perspective." He even confessed that Brad Pitt has become his new role model – much to the surprise of everyone in attendance.

The drivers spoke to MotorSport about how Hollywood captured the drama of their world, whether creative liberties were taken, and what they would have liked to see more of in the film

"I'm aiming to drive in F1 at age 61 now," Hülkenberg quipped with a grin. It seems he's taking some inspiration from the movie!

Isack Hadjar, who admitted it was "weird" to watch a movie about Formula 1, predicted that the film will send the sport into "another dimension again." He praised its ability to attract new fans and encouraged anyone interested in getting into F1 to check it out. "It's hard to give feedback as drivers because we're really critical," he explained. "But if you're a kid or someone who doesn't know about the sport, I think it's the best way to get started."

Fernando Alonso praised the drama for representing "Formula 1 quite well." While there were some minor inaccuracies, he said that nearly all of the movie was "very original and very representative." He commended director Joseph Kosinski and Pitt for finding a good balance between action and drama.

Alex Albon echoed similar sentiments. "I think for Hollywood, they did a good job," he said modestly. "They found a good balance between being realistic and entertaining."

And finally, Liam Lawson, who predicted F1 will be "one of the biggest movies of the year," imagined a scenario where someone new to the sport watches the movie and thinks it's amazing. He pointed out that, just like any other film, there are bound to be some inaccuracies – but ultimately, it's all about entertainment.

"It was super immersive," he said enthusiastically. "The driving scenes were fantastic, and something we've never seen before."
