Eva Longoria Unveils Ryan Reynolds' Heartfelt Warning as She Promotes Her New Docuseries

Eva Longoria touched down in the U.S. this week to promote her new docuseries Necaxa

EVA LONGORIA SPEAKS OUT: FROM DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES TO DOCUSERIES SENSATION

The queen of Desperate Housewives has finally returned to our screens, and she's got a whole lot to dish about! Eva Longoria landed in the US this week to promote her brand-new docuseries, Necaxa, and we've got all the juicy details.

The 50-year-old actress has been living la vida loca abroad with her hubby José Bastón and their adorable seven-year-old son Santiago. They split their time between Mexico and Spain, but Eva's US return was all about showcasing her passion project – a docuseries that follows her journey as co-owner of Mexican soccer club Club Necaxa.

On Wednesday, she was spotted arriving at Good Morning America to talk about the series, which follows her journey as a co-owner of Mexican soccer club Club Necaxa and her efforts to turn the team around ¿ in the same spirit as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney ¿s high-profile takeover of Wrexham

We know what you're thinking... what's the story behind this fascinating series? Well, let us tell you! Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, known for their takeover of Wrexham, are also investors in Necaxa. And guess what they told Eva when she took on the challenge? "Prepare for heartbreak!" They warned her that sports can be an emotional rollercoaster, with ups and downs galore.

But Eva's not one to shy away from a challenge. In fact, she's diving headfirst into this new venture, just like her iconic character Gaby Solis would! Speaking on Good Morning America, she quipped: "Oh Gaby? She'd be an influencer, of course! She probably would have been the original fashion influencer."

And if that wasn't enough, Eva also dished about Bree Van de Kamp's possible future endeavors. "Bree too, Bree would have probably been the first Martha Stewart," she laughed. We can totally see it!

Ryan and Rob are also among Necaxa¿s investors, and Longoria revealed what advice they offered when she took on the challenge

As the conversation turned to her time on Desperate Housewives, Eva couldn't help but reminisce. It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since that primetime soap phenomenon premiered! When Michael Strahan pointed out the milestone, Eva shot back with her signature wit: "21 years... and I look the same!" followed by a heartfelt: "No, but it was one of the best times in my life, and I have such fond memories of the show."

But don't worry; we're not here to just reminisce about the past. We've got all the scoop on Eva's exciting new projects! Just last week, she was spotted packing on PDA with her hubby José in Beverly Hills – a rare sighting for this power couple.

And did you know that their relationship is built on some surprisingly unique principles? Speaking exclusively to TheScholarlyNote.com (formerly DailyMail.com), Eva revealed: "He makes me laugh, and he's a really good partner. He supports me in everything I do... We don't compete for attention or spotlight." How refreshing is that?

'They said prepare for heartbreak,' Eva shared on the ABC talk show. 'Cause sports is so emotional, with all the ups and the downs. It is an emotional roller coaster'

In the interview, she also shared some fascinating insights into her hubby's personality. For instance, José hates social media! Can you believe it? "He loves for me to be on the red carpet," Eva explained. "It's one place he hates, and he hates Instagram too. He's like, 'please don't put me on your Instagram.' That's why he's never on my social media. Once in a while, I try to slip him in there."

Of course, all this romantic chatter got us thinking – what drove Eva to leave the US behind? After all, she did make some candid comments about her decision to relocate after last year's US elections.

As TheScholarlyNote.com reported earlier, Eva revealed that she had been considering leaving California for a while. "The vibe in California had shifted even before COVID-19," she explained. "And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s* on California – it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now."

The actress also weighed in on where her iconic character Gaby Solis would be today, more than a decade after Desperate Housewives wrapped

Some speculated that her decision was driven by Donald Trump's return to the White House, but Eva set the record straight during a phone call with The View: Behind the Table podcast. "Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of Spain because of Trump?" she asked, clarifying that she'd been working in Europe for almost three years.

It seems like Eva's made her decision, and it looks like Spain will be calling home for this dynamic duo – at least full-time!

'Oh Gaby? She¿d be an influencer,' Longoria quipped. 'She probably would have been the original fashion influencer' (The five recognizable faces of the drama series - Eva, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Nicollette Sheridan)
