Ethan Hawke and Andrew Scott's Heartwarming Embrace at Blue Moon Premiere

Ethan Hawke and Andrew Scott shared a playful embrace on the red carpet at the premiere of their new film, Blue Moon

RED CARPET ROMANCE AND TALENT TAKES CENTER STAGE: ETHAN HAWKE AND ANDREW SCOTT STEAL THE SHOW AT BLUE MOON PREMIERE

In a night that was all about glamour, talent, and drama, Ethan Hawke and Andrew Scott brought the house down on the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival's premiere of their new film, Blue Moon. The highly anticipated movie tells the story of Broadway songwriter Lorenz Hart, who struggled with alcoholism and mental health during the opening of Oklahoma!, and it's clear that the cast has done its research.

Ethan Hawke, 54, looked absolutely dashing in his dark navy blue suit paired with a crisp white shirt featuring subtle black stitching. Meanwhile, Andrew Scott, 48, opted for a timeless look in a sleek black suit layered over a plain black top. The two co-stars appeared to be in high spirits as they posed for snaps before making their way into the screening venue.

The co-stars arrived at the glamorous event on Thursday, which was held as part of the BFI London Film Festival

But what really caught our attention was the playful embrace between Ethan and Andrew on the red carpet. It's clear that the two have developed a close bond while working together on Blue Moon, and we can't help but wonder if there's more to their friendship than meets the eye.

As for the film itself, it tells the story of Lorenz Hart, who is known for his iconic lyrics in songs such as "Blue Moon," "The Lady Is A Tramp," "Manhattan," and "My Funny Valentine." Ethan plays Lorenz while Margaret Qualley stars as his protégée and Yale student Elizabeth Weiland. Andrew, on the other hand, takes on the role of Lorenz's longtime composing partner, Richard Rodgers.

We got a chance to chat with Ethan about his transformation into Lorenz Hart, who stood at just five feet tall. The actor shaved his head for the leading role, which was topped with a greasy comb over style that he described as "demolishing to my vanity." But it was all worth it in the end, as Ethan expressed that he wanted to truly understand how Lorenz moved through the world.

For the occasion, Ethan, 54, looked sharp in a dark navy blue suit paired with a crisp white shirt featuring subtle black stitching

"It's very interesting how people treated you differently, particularly the way women treat you," Ethan reflected. "Everybody giggles at you, they poke your ear, they pat your head and they don’t take you seriously. It was very really important for me to understanding Larry Hart and how he moved through the world."

But what's even more interesting is that Ethan has been speaking out about the absurdity of casting decisions based on social media following rather than talent and experience. In an appearance at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in February, Ethan expressed his bafflement at the idea that actors get cast in projects solely because they have a large Instagram following.

"I really feel for these people," Ethan stated. "It's really hard. Sometimes I'll be setting a movie up and someone will say, 'Oh, you should cast Suzie.' I'm like, 'Who is she?' 'She has ten million followers.'"

Meanwhile, Andrew, 48, opted for a timeless look, wearing a sleek black suit layered over a plain black top

He added: "So if I don't have this public-facing [platform], I don't have a career? And if I get more followers I might get that part? What?" It's clear that Ethan is passionate about the importance of talent and experience in the film industry, and we couldn't agree more.

Other notable attendees at the event included Victoria Brown, Giles Surridge, and Stevie Ruffs. But let's be real, the real stars of the night were Ethan Hawke and Andrew Scott, who truly stole the show with their chemistry and charisma on the red carpet.

Blue Moon is set to release on October 24 through Sony Pictures Classics and Renovo Media Group. Mark your calendars, folks!
