Emily Blunt made sure to turn heads in a glamorous strapless gown as she attended The Smashing Machine premiere during the 82nd Venice Film Festival on Monday

VENICE FILM FESTIVAL EXCLUSIVE: EMILY BLUNT AND DWAYNE JOHNSON TURN UP THE HEAT ON THE RED CARPET

The 82nd Venice Film Festival has officially kicked off, and with it comes a plethora of A-listers strutting their stuff on the coveted red carpet. Emily Blunt, one of Hollywood's most beloved actresses, made sure to bring her signature glamour to the event, dazzling in a jaw-dropping strapless gown that left everyone speechless.

The 42-year-old Devil Wears Prada starlet looked absolutely stunning as she stepped out for the premiere of The Smashing Machine, a biopic about former amateur wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr. Emily's floor-length number showcased her incredible figure, making it impossible to take your eyes off her. And let's be real – who wouldn't want to turn heads in that kind of stunning attire?

She was joined by dapper co-star The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, as he beamed for photos wearing a smart grey suit and white open collar shirt

To elevate her look, Emily opted for a pair of statement-making platform dust pink heels that added an extra oomph to her already-glamorous ensemble. She also accessorized with a show-stopping pair of silver drop earrings that perfectly complemented her dark tresses, which were styled in neat waves and pulled back out of her face.

But Emily wasn't the only one turning heads on the red carpet – her co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was equally dashing in his smart grey suit and white open collar shirt. The two looked like they were having the time of their lives as they posed for photos together, waving enthusiastically at cameras and fans.

But what really caught our attention was Emily's emotional preparation for playing Dawn Staples, Mark Kerr's then-wife who struggled with his fighting career and the subsequent injuries he sustained. In a recent interview with PORTER Magazine, Emily spoke about the intensity of playing real people in movies, confessing that she feels an immense pressure to "do right by" them.

Emily and Dwayne beamed as they chatted away on the red carpet

"I know you're gonna have to rip your ribcage open on something like this," Emily said candidly. "And the other fear is that these people are still living, and you're holding the beating hearts of their lives on a screen... You just want to do right by these people who have lived through a lot."

It's clear that Emily has put her heart and soul into playing Dawn, and it's only fitting that she would go above and beyond to honor the real-life story. The Smashing Machine, which hits theaters on October 3rd, is based on John Hyams' 2002 HBO documentary of the same name, which documented Mark Kerr's substance abuse, hospitalization, and rehab stint.

Meanwhile, Brazilian model Sofia Resing turned up the heat in a daring black sheer strapless number that boasted stunning jewelled detailing. She elevated her frame with a pair of high heels and accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings. Model Maria Borges also wowed in a dazzling halterneck dress featuring a black draping skirt, while singer and actress Halsey made a statement in a daring yellow halterneck dress that showed off her incredible figure.

But the real magic happened when Emily and Dwayne sat down for a panel discussion earlier in the day. Sitting alongside Benny, who made his solo feature directorial debut with The Smashing Machine, Dwayne spoke candidly about why he chose to take on this role.

"I have, for a long time, wanted to do this," Dwayne said passionately. "The three of us have talked for a very long time about how, when you're in Hollywood – as we all know, it's become about box office... And you chase the box office, and the box office can be very loud and it can become very resounding and it can push you into a category and into a corner. This is your lane and this is what you do and this is what Hollywood wants you to do."

It's clear that The Smashing Machine has left an indelible mark on all involved, from the cast to the crew. With its star-studded cast, including Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and its gripping storyline based on real-life events, it's no wonder why this biopic is making waves at the Venice Film Festival.
