Elphaba vs. Glinda: Epic Showdown in Wicked: For Good's Final Trailer

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have reprised their roles in Wicked as bosses released the final trailer ahead of the second part of the award-winning movie on Wednesday

Drama Fills the Air: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Face Off in Epic Showdown in Wicked: For Good's Jaw-Dropping Trailer!

Get ready for the most epic battle of good vs. evil this side of Oz! The highly anticipated sequel to the beloved musical phenomenon, Wicked, has dropped its final trailer, and it's a game-changer. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are set to ignite the big screen as they reprise their roles as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively.

The movie's release date is rapidly approaching – November 21st can't come soon enough! And trust us, you won't want to miss this. The trailer promises a thrilling tale of consequences, as Elphaba continues her fight for freedom in exile, while Glinda has become the symbol of goodness in Oz, all set to marry the dashing Prince Fiyero (played by Jonathan Bailey).

The sequel sees the return of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North

But don't be fooled – beneath the surface of this enchanting world lies a web of secrets and deception. The people of Oz are on the hunt for Elphaba, with some even carrying out a sinister agenda against her. "Melt her," reads one ominous message scrawled on a bucket carried by one of the villagers. Ominous posters plastered around Oz warn of Elphaba's return: "Beware of the Wicked Witch" indeed!

But what really sets this sequel apart is its exploration of friendship and power dynamics between our two leading ladies. In a particularly dramatic confrontation, Glinda and Elphaba engage in a tense showdown, with Grande's character fighting back against Erivo's biting jabs about her lack of real power. Yet, just when it seems like all hope is lost, the two share a heart-wrenching moment where they hint at a glimmer of friendship – or maybe even something more?

But that's not all! The trailer also teases a first look at Dorothy's (who we assume will be played by a newcomer) arrival in Oz, along with her trusty sidekicks: the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow. The Wizard himself, Jeff Goldblum, tasks them with bringing back Elphaba's broom to prove she's been killed.

Glinda and Elphaba also share a tense shutdown as Grande's character attempts to fight back as the witch tells her she has 'no real power'

New music alert! Cynthia Erivo treats fans to a snippet of her haunting track "No Good Dead," while Ariana Grande brings the house down with a show-stopping rendition of "For Good." Get ready for what promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience!

But What Do the Stars Think?

We caught up with Jon M. Chu, the award-winning director behind Wicked: For Good, and he dished out some juicy insights about what we can expect from the sequel:

Elphaba is continuing her fight for freedom while the silenced animals of Oz are desperate to expose truth of The Wizard, who is played by Jeff Goldblum

"If Part 1 is about choices, Part 2 is about consequences," he teased. "Choices are difficult to make, but when you do make those choices, sometimes the result isn't what you expect it to be. It can be lonely, it can be hard."

"The second movie really gets to play with [that maturity]... There's a lot of soul searching in this one. They're asking, 'Is this the right decision that you made?'"

And as for Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo? "They're both incredible," Chu raved. "They bring so much depth and nuance to their characters."

In the teaser, fans see as the people of Oz hunt for Elphaba, with one carrying a bucket of liquid which reads: 'Melt her'
