Elon Musk's Estranged Daughter: Living Frugally Despite Billionaire Status
SCANDALOUS EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk's Estranged Daughter Spills All on Her Life Without Daddy's Dough
In a jaw-dropping interview with TheScholarlyNote.com, Vivian Wilson, the 21-year-old daughter of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, has finally opened up about her life after cutting ties with her father. As one of the richest men in the world, you'd expect his offspring to live a life of luxury and extravagance. But not so fast!
Vivian, who publicly fell out with her dad in 2022 after transitioning from male to female, has been living rent-free – literally! The aspiring model revealed that she lives with three roommates in Los Angeles because it's simply more cost-effective than going solo. "People assume I have a lot of money," Vivian said candidly. "But the truth is, I don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal." Ouch!
Now you might think that Musk's ex-wife Justine would be there to provide for Vivian's financial needs, but it seems the young woman has decided to make her own way in life. "My mom is rich, right? But obviously, the other one [Musk]... is unimaginable degrees of wealthy," Vivian matter-of-factly stated.
When asked about her plans for the future, Vivian revealed that she's even considering attending community college in the fall – a far cry from the Ivy League schools that most people expect her to attend. "College is expensive," she explained. "I don't have that kind of inheritance." This is not what you'd expect from the daughter of someone worth an estimated $413 billion!
But here's the kicker: Vivian has no desire to live a life of opulence, unlike her father. "I don't want to be superrich by his standards," she said bluntly. "I just want to have enough money to keep a roof over my head and afford food – and still have some expendable income." Talk about down-to-earth!
Vivian's decision to distance herself from her dad has been no secret, especially after he publicly aligned himself with the MAGA movement and made some pretty nasty comments about his daughter's transition. When campaigning for Trump and other MAGA Republicans in 2022, Musk infamously referred to Vivian as "killed by the woke mind virus" – a comment that left many scratching their heads.
But it seems that Vivian is unapologetic about her choices. In fact, she's been vocal about her disdain for her father's views and has even called him a "pathetic man-child." And with good reason! After filing a petition to change her name and gender in 2022, just days after her 18th birthday, Vivian made it clear that she was done with her dad's toxic behavior.
But what really gets under Vivian's skin is the way her father has treated her – especially when it comes to her mental health. In a shocking revelation, Vivian revealed that she struggles with ADHD and has been open about her experiences with anxiety and depression. "I've had to deal with a lot of emotional stuff," she said candidly.
It seems that Vivian's private high school days were no picnic either. As one of the students at an elite private school in California, Vivian admitted that she struggled to make friends – especially when surrounded by "nepo babies" like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter Apple. "People were unhinged," she recalled, "and I was not popular." Yikes!
But despite the challenges she's faced, Vivian remains unapologetic about her choices. When asked if she'd ever reconcile with her dad, Vivian gave a resounding no: "I've made it clear that I don't want to spend time with him." And judging by her words, it seems like that's exactly what she'll be doing – without his financial support or blessing.
MUSK'S HISTORY OF TURMOIL WITH VIVIAN
Vivian's falling out with her dad has been a long time coming. In 2020, Musk infamously told an interviewer that his relationship with Vivian "may change" but that he had "very good relationships" with all of his other children – except for one. And in 2022, when Vivian was just 18 years old, she revealed to her aunt via text that she was transgender and wanted to keep it a secret from her dad.
Musk's response? He told a biographer that he'd made "many overtures" to win Vivian back but that they had been unsuccessful. "I've tried to reach out," he said, "but she doesn't want to spend time with me." Ouch!
It seems like Musk has finally learned his lesson – too little, too late?
