Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's Charming Paris Date Amidst Rain: What’s Next?

THE DAILY SCOOP: ELLEN AND PORTIA'S PARISIAN ESCAPE

In a romantic getaway that's got everyone talking, Ellen DeGeneres and her stunning wife Portia de Rossi were spotted braving the rain in Paris on Thursday. The power couple, who tied the knot in 2008, were seen enjoying a leisurely stroll through the City of Lights, flashing bright smiles as they took in the sights.

But what's behind their sudden trip to France? Sources close to the couple reveal that Ellen and Portia are still figuring out their next move in England. The 67-year-old comedian and her 52-year-old actress wife have made England their home since leaving the U.S. after Donald Trump took office, but it seems they're not quite settled yet.

Dressed in coordinated white Oxford shirts and black trousers, the couple, who tied the knot in 2008, appeared unfazed by the showers, flashing smiles while on a lunch date

Just weeks ago, the couple put their $15 million Cotswolds farmhouse on the market - less than a year after moving there. And if you thought that was surprising, get this: they've now relocated to an even bigger 11,000 sq ft home nearby! Talk about upsizing.

Ellen, who told a British audience at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre in July that she was staying in Britain "for good", insists that the farmhouse on the market is just a temporary stopgap. But what's behind their decision to leave? Insiders claim it was all because of Trump's re-election last November.

"We were hopeful for Kamala Harris," Ellen revealed, "but when Trump won, we decided to make England our permanent home." And so they set up shop in the Cotswolds - a popular spot for wealthy Londoners to keep second homes. But it seems they're not just looking for a holiday home; no, these two are serious about making England their new full-time residence.

Their outfits were perfectly in sync, right down to matching white scarf ties and designer sunglasses

Their current temporary digs boast an impressive two-bedroom guest house, swimming pool, gym, and even a "party barn" with its own pub! And if that wasn't enough, the property also features a horse facility and pastures for Portia's beloved horses, which they flew over from the U.S. Talk about a luxury lifestyle.

But it seems their new home isn't big enough for them yet - or at least, not for long. The couple has listed the property on the market, citing that they need more space to accommodate their growing horse collection. And with a $22.5 million price tag, this luxury estate is sure to attract some serious buyers.

As we know, Ellen and Portia are no strangers to luxury living. In fact, she's known for collecting multi-million dollar homes - including a stunning $24million property in the Montecito area of California where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also reside. And it seems their new English home is just another addition to their impressive portfolio.

At one moment, Ellen halted and shrugged, clearly unbothered by the gentle Paris rain

But what really caught our attention was Ellen's candid confession about why they decided to leave the U.S. "The UK is beautiful," she gushed, "it's absolutely beautiful. We [Americans] are just not used to seeing this kind of beauty." She also praised the local architecture, houses, and even the people - saying that everything here is "charming" and a "simpler way of life".

And let's be real, folks; we're all dying to know what's next for these two. Will they make their new home in England permanent? And what about those horses? We can't wait to find out.

In related news, Ellen marked her 17th wedding anniversary with Portia last month by sharing a sweet video from their wedding day on Instagram. The caption read: "Happy 17th anniversary of the best day of my life. Portia, I love you more every day. #MarriageForAll."

Their former home (pictured) in the region, hit by flooding last November, is now up for sale

As we go to press, it seems Ellen and Portia are enjoying a well-deserved break in Paris - but don't worry, folks; they'll be back to their busy lives soon enough. After all, there's no rest for the wicked... or in this case, two of Hollywood's most beloved power couples.
