In a jaw-dropping revelation, global superstar Taylor Swift has spilled all the deets on her whirlwind romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The pop icon, 35, and her NFL beau, 36, are set to tie the knot, but what's even more shocking is that Taylor's close friend Ed Sheeran found out about their engagement on Instagram!
While promoting her highly-anticipated new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor couldn't resist dishing all the tea. And trust us, folks, it's hot! As she gamely played a game where Jimmy read five rumors about her, only one of which was true, Taylor couldn't help but crack up at Ed's phone-less ways.
"Ed doesn't have a phone!" she exclaimed, giggling uncontrollably in her dazzling silver minidress. "This is actually one thing I love about him – it's so eccentric and quirky! But when I'm trying to get in touch with him, I always forget that he doesn't have a phone, and I start freaking out like 'Who should we call? Who should we FaceTime?' And then I remember, 'Oh wait, Ed doesn't have a phone!'"
Taylor went on to reveal that the singer-songwriter's communication style is straight out of the Stone Age – she has to email him first, and if she wants to Facetime, they have to find an iPad for him! "It's like he's a kid getting an iPad from his parents," Taylor joked. "But I love it, it's so adorable!"
This isn't the only juicy tidbit we got from Taylor's chat with Jimmy. The singer also shared more about her enchanting proposal story with Travis, where she was completely caught off guard in his backyard amidst a breathtaking floral display. As it turns out, Travis had been planning this moment for a while – and not just because of their love for each other.
"He did the podcast as a distraction," Taylor revealed. "He wanted to keep me from looking outside the windows, so he put up blackout drapes everywhere! He's like, 'My heart is racing, I really want this to be special.' And then, after the proposal, he was still nervous about the podcast – it was adorable!"
Taylor also took a moment to gush over Travis' incredible custom-made engagement ring, which reportedly cost between $700,000 and $1 million. "He designed it with an amazing jeweler," she said. "It's stunning! I look at it all the time – it feels surreal."
The singer-songwriter also shared more about her relationship with Ed, who she affectionately calls a 'second brother.' The two have collaborated on multiple tracks over the years and even released their hit single Thinking Out Loud together.
