Body warn video from Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh's car crash shows him looking confused

NIP/TUCK Star Dylan Walsh's Car Crash Chaos: Exclusive Bodycam Footage Reveals Shocking Details

Dylan Walsh, the 61-year-old star of the hit TV series Nip/Tuck, was involved in a dramatic car crash last month that left his wife Leslie Bourque-Walsh shaken and his own reputation in tatters. The actor, who has appeared in numerous TV shows and films throughout his career, was arrested for several driving offenses after he smashed his 2022 Ford Explorer into two utility poles in Rumson, New Jersey.

A Night to Remember... or Not

The actor, 61, plowed his 2022 Ford Explorer into a pair of utility poles in New Jersey last month

According to eyewitnesses and police reports, Walsh had been out drinking at a local bar before getting behind the wheel of his car. The actor claimed that he had been on his way back from a beach outing with his family when the accident occurred. However, bodycam footage obtained by The Scholarly Note reveals a different story.

In the shocking video, Walsh appears dazed and confused as he tries to explain what happened. "I don't know," he stammers, before claiming that there were several people in the car and that he must have looked away for a moment.

When asked if he had been drinking, Walsh replied that he had come from a bar and that they had been at the beach all day. It's unclear whether his intoxication played a role in the accident, but it's clear that Walsh was not in control of his vehicle when it crashed into the utility poles.

Leslie's Harrowing Ordeal

Meanwhile, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, who was riding with her husband at the time of the accident, appeared traumatized by the experience. In the bodycam footage, she can be seen crying out in pain as she is helped across the road to safety by a police officer and bystander.

As she lay on the sidewalk, Leslie appeared to faint, prompting the officer to implore her to stay conscious. "Leslie, look at me, Leslie," he said, while another voice was heard urging her to "stay with us."

She was eventually taken to hospital in the back of an ambulance after one cop declared she was in shock and suffering with chest pain

The officer later noted in the police report that Leslie seemed to be "going in and out" of consciousness, likely due to shock.

A Medical Emergency?

In a bizarre twist, Walsh's representative later claimed that the actor had suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel. However, it's unclear what exactly caused this alleged medical issue, or whether it was related to his intoxication.

Walsh's rep released a statement on August 20, saying that "everyone is safe and has since returned home." The statement also thanked the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS for their response to the accident, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care.

A History of Trouble

This isn't the first time Walsh has been in trouble with the law. In 2003, he was arrested for drunk driving after crashing his car into a tree in Los Angeles.

Walsh's personal life has also been marred by controversy. He was previously married to actress Melora Walters from 1996 to 2003 and later married Joanna Going from 2004 to 2012. His current wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, is a much younger woman who he married in 2022.

The Aftermath

Walsh was cited with six driving offenses, including reckless driving, possessing an open container of alcohol, and driving on a sidewalk. He will likely face penalties for his actions, but it remains to be seen whether this incident will have any long-term consequences for the actor's career.

The actor played Dr. Sean McNamara on the FX series Nip/Tuck from 2003 to 2010

As one eyewitness noted, "The car was swerving all over the road before it crashed into those utility poles. It was like he had no idea what he was doing behind the wheel."

The Scholarly Note has obtained exclusive footage of the accident, which can be seen here.
