Duck Dynasty Star Sadie Robertson's Shocking Family Robbery and Vandalism Ordeal
Duck Dynasty Star Sadie Robertson Huff Robbed: "It's Just So Low"
In a shocking turn of events, reality TV personality Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband Christian Huff have fallen victim to a heartless robbery during their recent family trip. The 28-year-old pregnant star of Duck Dynasty revealed the disturbing news on Thursday, leaving fans stunned and outraged.
According to Sadie, the crime occurred while they were stopped at a restaurant in Atlanta, where she was scheduled to speak at the Forward religious conference. After a stressful few hours, including almost missing their flight and their daughter suffering a nosebleed, things took a turn for the worse. "We go in [to the restaurant] and we're just like, 'OK, let's just take a breath. This has been, like, a stressful couple of hours,'" Sadie recalled on the WHOA That's Good Podcast.
But little did they know, their car was about to become the target of thieves. "When we left the restaurant, I noticed our car windows were completely busted in," Sadie shared, her voice filled with emotion. "And when I opened the door, I saw that our backpacks had been stolen." The stolen bags contained some very valuable items, including all of their family's passports, Christian's driver's license, credit cards, and even his Bible – a sentimental item he's had since forever.
"It was sad to think about them seeing [daughters] Honey and Haven's little faces on that passport," Sadie admitted. "It just makes me so mad!" She couldn't fathom why the robbers would steal from a young family with children, especially considering they saw car seats in the backseat. "I hate to think about them seeing our little girls' pictures on those passports," she exclaimed.
Christian added, "We also prayed that the fear of God would fall upon them." Sadie shared her hopes that the robbers would feel guilty and repentant, adding, "I prayed [this] would lead them to repentance and they would open Christian's Bible and start reading it and feel the fear of the Lord."
The family was left shaken by the experience, especially their two young daughters. Honey, 2, was particularly traumatized, asking her mother, "Bad guys broke our windows and took Daddy's stuff?" Sadie revealed that she had to explain to her daughter why some people do bad things, and how they as a family rely on God for protection.
"It was also an opportunity to show her our faith and what we believe about God," Sadie noted. The incident served as a lesson for their daughters, teaching them about the importance of kindness and compassion. "If it wouldn't have been for the kids, I would have been a lot more scared," she confessed.
Sadie and Christian are currently expecting their third child together, and their hearts are full of joy and anticipation. However, this latest incident has left them feeling vulnerable and concerned about their safety.
The Robberson-Huff family is no stranger to fame, having risen to stardom on the hit reality show Duck Dynasty. The series followed the lives of patriarch Phil Robertson and his wife Miss Kay as they oversaw their multi-million dollar duck call empire. Sadie, along with her siblings Willie and Korie Robertson's kids – John Luke, Will Jr., Bella, Rebecca, and her own two daughters Honey and Haven – are set to return to the small screen in Duck Dynasty: The Revival, a 20-episode series premiering this summer.
The show will document the next generation of Robbersons as they take over the family business and navigate life's challenges. Fans can look forward to seeing Uncle Si and Miss Kay Robertson reprise their roles alongside Willie and Korie's adult children and grandchildren.
Sadie's Heartbreaking Account
"We had our car seats and strollers and diaper bag in [the car that was robbed]," Sadie revealed on the WHOA That's Good Podcast. "Of course, they didn't steal any of that, which I'm thankful for, but I'm like, 'that's so low.' You know you're stealing from a family with kids."
Sadie's grandfather Phil Robertson passed away in May at age 79. The reality star rose to fame on her family's hit show Duck Dynasty, which aired from 2012 to 2017.
The robbery has left the Robberson-Huff family shaken, but they remain strong in their faith and commitment to each other. As Sadie shared, "Our hearts are so full" – a sentiment that echoes their love for one another and their trust in God's protection.
In related news, A&E announced Duck Dynasty: The Revival, a two-season, 20-episode order set to premiere this summer. Fans can look forward to seeing the Robbersons' next chapter as they navigate life's challenges and share their faith with the world.
As Sadie and Christian continue to navigate this difficult time, they remain grateful for the support of their fans and the love of their family. "We're just going to keep moving forward," Sadie said, her voice filled with determination.
