DOLLY PARTON SAYS SHE'S SLUMBERING, NOT SLOWING DOWN!

The Queen of Country Music has been forced to postpone her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency, leaving fans worried about her well-being. But don't worry, folks, Dolly Parton is not hanging up her sparkly boots just yet!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 79-year-old songstress will be unable to attend the prestigious Governor Awards in November, where she was set to receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' board of governors. But don't think for a second that this means Dolly is slowing down! On the contrary, she's just taking some much-needed time out to prioritize her health.

The 79-year-old country music legend (seen performing in Nashville back in July 2015) will not be present at the 16th Governor Awards in Hollywood, California on November 16 according to The Hollywood Reporter

The reason behind her absence? A series of medical procedures that have left her in need of a few weeks' R&R. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dolly explained that she's been dealing with some health challenges and will be undergoing several medical procedures. But don't worry, folks, this is not the end of the road for our beloved Dolly!

"I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts," she wrote. "As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures."

But Dolly being Dolly, she couldn't resist throwing in a little humor: "It feels like time for my 100,000-mile check-up, but let's be clear – it's not just about seeing the doctor for a routine check-in!"

And don't worry, Dolly enthusiasts! She reassured fans that this postponement is in no way related to her decision to slow down or retire. "Don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet," she joked. "But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you."

And what's a Dolly Parton adventure without some sparkle and shine? The new Las Vegas dates will run from September 2026, with rescheduled shows spanning from September 17 to September 26. And don't worry if you're unable to make it – your original tickets will be valid for the new dates!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

Just days after announcing her postponed residency, Dolly sparked concern over her health again when she cancelled a pre-scheduled trip to Dollywood, where she was set to announce the park's latest attraction. But don't think that this cancellation was due to her health woes – oh no!

In a pre-recorded video message, Dolly revealed that she had been dealing with kidney stones and an infection. "I had a little problem," she explained. "I had a kidney stone... Turn out there was an infection." And we thought our grandma's problems were bad!

But the Queen of Country Music is made of tougher stuff! She reassured fans that her condition wasn't serious, and promised to be back at Dollywood soon. "Don't worry about me, I'm going to be okay," she said.

AND IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING...

Dolly's husband, Carl Dean, passed away in May this year at the age of 82. But despite her grief, Dolly is taking things one step at a time – and prioritizing her health above all else.

"I'm doing better than I thought I would," she told Savannah Guthrie on Today. "I've been with him 60 years... So, I'm going to have to relearn some of the things that we've done." But don't worry, folks, Dolly is not alone! She's got her fans, her music, and a whole lot of sparkle to keep her company.
