Denise Richards Opens Up: Heartfelt Tribute Amid Divorce Drama

Denise Richards quietly returned to social media for the first time since her husband Aaron Phypers filed for divorce, earlier this month, after six years of marriage

DENISE RICHARDS MAKES A SURPRISE RETURN TO SOCIAL MEDIA AFTER HUSBAND'S DIVORCE FILING

The drama continues to unfold in the world of Denise Richards, as the actress quietly returned to social media for the first time since her husband Aaron Phypers filed for divorce. The 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum honored her late mother Joni with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing a slideshow of photos and a message that left fans feeling all the emotions.

The emotional post featured Denise beaming alongside her eldest daughter Sami Sheen, sitting on her lap, while her mother smiles beside them, holding their granddaughter Lola. The second photo in the slideshow showcased a collection of prints from Joni's childhood and throughout her life. It was a touching tribute to a woman who sadly passed away in 2007 after a long battle with kidney cancer.

'Happy Birthday, Mom in Heaven,' the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star captioned her Instagrampost. 'You would've been 72 today. We miss and love you so much'

Sami, now 21, was among the first to show her support in the comments section, writing "I love you so much mom." Denise's former RHOBH costar Sutton Stracke also chimed in, praising the music that accompanied the slideshow - Gerry Rafferty's 1978 track Right Down the Line. "Song choice. Love you! HBD to your mother," she wrote.

But beneath the surface of this heartwarming moment lies a complex web of drama and deceit. As we previously reported, Denise accused Aaron of domestic violence and verbal abuse, claiming he had frequently violently choked her, squeezed her head with his hands, tightly gripped her arms, slapped her face, slammed her head into a bathroom towel rack, and threatened to kill her.

Aaron has vehemently denied the allegations, releasing a statement that reads: "Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone. These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful."

But Denise's explosive court filing paints a very different picture. According to court documents obtained by People, Richards alleged that Phypers would often threaten her, saying things like "I'll break your jaw" and "I'll kill you." She also claimed he caused her at least three concussions.

And it seems Denise is not backing down from the fight. In a recent interview with TMZ, Aaron claims Denise was cheating on him, leading to the fight that prompted his divorce filing. He alleges that she was planning a hotel rendezvous with another man and even tried to sneak him into her room.

Denise has yet to formally respond in court to Phypers' petition, which seeks spousal support. But it's clear that this divorce battle is far from over.

The Wild Things star, who accused her estranged spouse of domestic violence and verbal abuse, was recently granted a temporary restraining against Phypers, 52 (pictured in January 2025)

As the drama continues to unfold, fans are left wondering what's next for Denise and Aaron. Will they be able to put their differences aside and co-parent amicably? Only time will tell.

In the meantime, we're keeping a close eye on this developing story and bringing you all the latest updates as more information becomes available. Stay tuned, folks!
