The summer just got a whole lot hotter, thanks to the live-action adaptation of the beloved animated classic, How To Train Your Dragon! The film, starring Mason Thames, Nico Parker, and the dashing Gerard Butler, is setting box office records ablaze with its fiery performances and stunning visuals.

According to our sources at thescholarlynote.com, the movie has sizzled its way to a whopping $84 million in ticket sales on its opening weekend alone! But that's not all - the film's global total stands at an impressive $197.8 million, making it one of the biggest openings of the year.

And let's just say, Gerard Butler and his young co-star Mason Thames are over the moon about their new movie's success! The two shared a hilarious video on social media, where they raved about the film's IMAX experience, joking that they didn't have to pay their friends too much to attend. "It was insane!" exclaimed Butler, while Thames simply nodded in agreement.

But it's not just the box office numbers that are impressing fans - How To Train Your Dragon has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. With an A grade from CinemaScore and a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this movie is shaping up to be one of the summer's must-see blockbusters.

Meanwhile, last week's number one film, Lilo & Stitch, took a tumble to second place after three weeks at the top. The Disney live-action adaptation earned a respectable $15 million domestically over the weekend, but it seems like its reign has come to an end.

Finally, in fifth place is From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, starring Ana De Armas as a trained Russian assassin on a mission for revenge. With its high-octane action sequences and heart-pumping drama, this film is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
