Courtney Stodden has been sober for one week. The blonde bombshell said on Instagram that she is proud for how far she has come as she looks forward to 'week two'

COURTNEY STODDEN SHAKES OFF THE PARTY GIRL IMAGE, GOES SOBER AFTER A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP WITH ALCOHOL

The 30-year-old reality TV star and model, Courtney Stodden, has made a bold move by announcing her sobriety on Instagram. The Washington native, who has been in the spotlight since her teenage bride days, has finally broken free from the shackles of alcohol after years of struggling with its toxic grip.

In an emotional post, Stodden revealed that she's been sober for one whole week and is excited to take on week two of her journey. The model, known for her stunning looks and sizzling hot bod, shared a photo of herself lounging by the pool in Calabasas, flaunting her fresh red sunburn and donning a skimpy light purple string bikini.

The 30-year-old reality TV star also showed off her fresh red sunburn from a day by her swimming pool in Calabasas

"This is your reminder to use SPF," she captioned the photo, while also giving a shoutout to her friends who are not happy about her decision to go sober. "Many of my friends are sad that I've chosen this path, but they just won't know what to do with 'healthy' me," Stodden joked.

However, it's clear that Courtney is on a mission to transform herself and leave behind the party girl image that has haunted her for years. The model has been open about how her much-older first husband, Doug Hutchison (65), got her started on drinking at a young age. In an interview with TheScholarlyNote.com, Stodden revealed that Hutchison would drink "bottle and bottles of alcohol" every day and pushed her to do the same so he could "control" her.

Now, as she embarks on this new chapter in her life, Courtney is determined not to let anyone dictate her choices. "If people don't get it, then maybe they shouldn't be around," she declared.

Stodden's decision to go sober has been met with support from some of her friends and acquaintances, including Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend Crystal Hefner, who commented on her Instagram post: "I am so proud of you. I haven’t drank since 2009 and it’s the best thing. Life is so much brighter and happier without the poison bringing me down."

Former talk show host Ricki Lake also chimed in with a simple yet supportive message: "You got this."

But what's driving Courtney to make this drastic change? The model revealed that she's been struggling with mental health issues for years, and giving up alcohol has helped her feel better. "Alcohol was my escape for years, but it turned into a trap," she confessed to TheScholarlyNote.com.

This comes after she talked about how her much-older first husband Doug Hutchison - a 65-year-old actor whom she calls her former 'groomer' - got her started on drinking alcohol when she was very young

In an exclusive interview, Stodden shared more about her reasons for going sober: "I used alcohol to deal with pain, but all it did was make things messier—and make me louder in all the wrong ways. I’m finally cutting ties. Alcohol and I? Total toxic ex energy."

As Courtney navigates this challenging new path, she's finding solace in the support of her loved ones. "Please respect my space as I walk this new path," she urged her fans. "It’s not easy, but it’s necessary."

For those who may be wondering how Stodden manages to stay on track with her sobriety journey, the model revealed that she's finding it easier to resist temptation now that she's had a week of being sober.

The Washington native said he would drink 'bottle and bottles of alcohol' a day and pushed her to drink too so he could 'control' her. But these days Stodden does not want to feel 'out of control,' so she is staying away from the booze even if the journey is challenging

"It’s actually getting easier," she said. "I feel more in control, and I'm starting to enjoy life without alcohol."

So, what's next for Courtney? The model is set to star in a new Lifetime biopic, which will likely give fans a glimpse into her tumultuous past and her journey towards sobriety.

As for now, Stodden is taking things one day at a time and focusing on her mental health. "I want to be fully present in my life," she said. "I want to face my past, my trauma, and my current reality with clear eyes and real strength."

She has told DailyMail.com that tying the knot with 65-year-old A Time To Kill actor Doug Hutchinson was a bad move and she won't pretend otherwise; seen with Doug in 2013

One thing's for sure – Courtney Stodden has come out of the closet, so to speak, about her struggles with addiction, and it's a brave move that will undoubtedly inspire others who may be struggling with similar issues.
