Could Ivanka Trump Fill Kimmel's TV Void?

In light of the backlash, experts have weighed in exclusively to Daily Mail on whether an overtly pro-Trump personality - or even one of the Trumps themselves - should be the new face of TV, like his daughter, Ivanka Trump

BREAKING: Jimmy Kimmel's Talk Show Suspended "Indefinitely" Amid Controversy - But Could Ivanka Trump Be the Next Big Thing?

The world of television is always a dramatic one, but this week it's reached new heights with the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel's talk show by ABC. The shocking decision comes after Kimmel made some seriously inflammatory comments about Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative commentator who was tragically assassinated at Utah Valley University last week.

Kimmel's remarks were laced with sarcasm and disdain for President Trump, suggesting that the "MAGA gang" was trying to score political points from Kirk's murder. But while some might have seen his comments as a clever way to poke fun at the president, ABC clearly didn't agree - and now Kimmel's show is in limbo.

This week, Jimmy Kimmel's talk show was pulled off the air 'indefinitely' by ABC following comments he made about Charlie Kirk - something that has sparked serious backlash among both conservatives and liberals alike

But amidst all the drama, one person is emerging as a potential winner: Ivanka Trump. That's right, folks! The First Daughter has been touted by experts as having the potential to land her own talk show, and it's easy to see why. With her polished presence on camera and ability to connect with audiences, she could be the perfect candidate to fill Kimmel's shoes.

"We think Ivanka has that same polish and presence on camera as Jenna Bush Hager," said Sarah Schmidt, president of Interdependence Public Relations. "The difference is timing - Jenna waited until the political dust had settled, which gave audiences space to see her in a new light."

But could Ivanka really pull off a talk show? While some experts think it's a great idea, others are more skeptical. Caitlin Jardine, social media manager at Ellis Digital, notes that there may be reservations among network execs due to Ivanka's association with the Trump brand.

On Thursday, Trump also suggested that networks may lose their broadcasting license if their on-air talent is critical of him

"Whilst she is widely known and recognized (which is important in broadcasting), her political standing and public image are highly dividing amongst audiences," Jardine explained. "Typically, talk shows need broad appeal across audiences, which may pose challenging with her association to Donald Trump and the overall Trump brand."

Despite these concerns, some experts think that Ivanka could thrive on a smaller, more niche network - or even on a streaming platform or cable outlet. After all, she's already shown a knack for embracing the influencer lifestyle on Instagram.

"Hosting a talk show would reposition her as a media personality as well as just a political figure and businesswoman which could allow her to showcase a different side, softening her image and allow her to remain relevant in the media space," Jardine said.

According to Sarah Schmidt, president at Interdependence Public Relations, the First Daughter could 'absolutely pull off' her own talk show, as she even compared her to Today Show host Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush

But there's one thing that Ivanka needs to get right if she wants to make it big on TV: avoiding politics altogether. As Schmidt noted, "The real test will be whether she can turn a last name that divides into a platform that actually connects."

So what do you think? Could Ivanka Trump really be the next big thing in talk shows? Let us know in the comments!

As for Jimmy Kimmel, it's unclear when (or if) his show will return to ABC. But one thing's for sure: this drama is far from over.

Caitlin Jardine, Social Media Manager at Ellis Digital, agreed that there is 'potential' for the mom-of-three to secure her own talk show, but there might be some reservations among network execs

And, as it appears that Ivanka has grown to embrace the influencer lifestyle as of late - showing off her vacations, style and even PR gifting on her Instagram page - hosting a talk show may catapult her into a different realm

'Her public persona centers around business, fashion, family and women’s empowerment which would be a safer bet and more suitable angle for her show to avoid limiting her audience reach,' the expert shared

Jardine noted that she would also advise Ivanka to 'stay away' from speaking or involving anything political if she did have a talk show
