The first post dates back to January 2015, showing her posing at the top of a mountain, using a version of the slur to describe how she smiles. It's cringe-worthy to say the least!
But that's not all - it gets even worse! In February 2023, Ortega posted an Instagram story while getting Botox treatments, again using the same slur to describe her smile. Fans are OUTRAGED, calling for her immediate removal from the show.
The Love Island producers better be watching their backs, because the backlash is already in full swing. A Change.org petition has been started, calling for Ortega's removal, and it currently has over 6,670 verified signatures! It's clear that fans are not having it - they want her gone!
But what's even more shocking is how quickly Ortega's Instagram followers have dwindled since the scandal broke. She's lost a staggering 200K followers in just 48 hours, leaving her with a mere 709K followers. Ouch! It looks like her reputation has taken a hit, and it might be hard to recover.
Ortega's coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe in Fiji, but the writing is on the wall - she needs to go! Fans are taking to X (formerly Twitter) to express their outrage, using hashtags like #racist #LoveIslandUSA #stopasianhate. It's clear that racism will not be tolerated in this house.
The question on everyone's mind is: will Ortega be the next islander to get booted off the show? The producers better act fast before things escalate further! After all, they did kick out Yulissa Escobar just weeks ago for using a racial slur. It seems like double standards might be at play here.
