Colin Farrell & Son Henry Shine at the 2025 Emmys Red Carpet
COLIN FARRELL TAKES TO THE EMMYS RED CARPET WITH HIS SWEETHEART SON HENRY, WHILE IRISH ACTING LEGENDS AND NEWCOMERS VIE FOR GLORY
It's that time of year again when the cream of the crop in Hollywood gather to celebrate excellence in television. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are in full swing, and we've got all the tea on who made it onto the coveted red carpet.
Leading the pack is none other than Colin Farrell, the dashing Irish actor who's making waves with his critically acclaimed role as Penguin in HBO's DC series. But what's even more adorable than Colin's suave tuxedo? His 15-year-old son Henry, who accompanied him to the star-studded event!
The proud papa and his mini-me looked like they just stepped out of a fairy tale, with Colin sporting a sleek black and white velvet ensemble and Henry rocking an all-black outfit that said "cool kid" in every way. We can't help but wonder if Henry is already following in his dad's footsteps – after all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
But Colin's not the only Irish acting legend making waves at this year's Emmys. Other nominees include Stephen Graham and Aimee Lou Wood, who both took home nominations for their roles in Netflix's smash hit series Adolescence.
Owen Cooper, a talented young star with a penchant for acting, is also on the radar – and could make history as the youngest ever male winner if he takes home the award for Supporting Actor. Talk about pressure! We caught up with Owen ahead of the ceremony, where he revealed that being part of Adolescence has changed his life in ways he never thought possible.
"I'll never forget this for the rest of my life," he gushed. "If I break the record, that would be cool. It's all next level."
But what does the future hold for Owen? The young actor confessed to having a major crush on playing Spiderman – and we can't blame him! After all, who wouldn't want to swing from skyscrapers and save the world?
AIMEE LOU WOOD SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HER FEUD WITH CO-STAR WALTON GOGGINS AND HER INSECURITIES
It's not all glamour and glory in the acting world, folks. Aimee Lou Wood, star of The White Lotus, recently opened up about her struggles with imposter syndrome – and how it led to rumors of a feud with co-star Walton Goggins.
In an interview with British GQ, Aimee revealed that creator Mike White had to "fight" to cast her, which left her feeling insecure. "When someone (not a producer) told me Mike fought for me it was said in a nice way," she explained. "I just spiralled about it because of my own imposter syndrome."
And the worst part? Aimee's inner monologue went something like this: "HBO didn't want me. And I know why HBO didn't want me, it's because I'm ugly." Ouch! But Aimee took a stand and spoke out about her insecurities – and we applaud her for that.
SCOTTY JACOBY'S RECORD ON THE LINE
But enough about drama – let's talk about the real stars of the show: the talented actors vying for awards. Scotty Jacoby, currently holding the record as the youngest male winner (16 years old at the time), is watching his back – and we have a feeling Owen Cooper might just dethrone him.
The nominees in the Supporting Actor category are fierce, with Ashley Walters, Stephen Graham, and Colin Farrell all vying for top honors. And let's not forget about Christy Tremarco, Ruth Negga, Deirdre O'Connell, Chloë Sevigny, and Jenny Slate – the competition is going to be fierce in the Supporting Actress category!
