Colin Farrell's Live TV F-bomb Slip with Margot Robbie Goes Viral!
COLIN FARRELL'S LIVE TV BLUNDER: THE SHOCKING MOMENT HE LET LOOSE ON "THE TODAY SHOW"
Colin Farrell's 49-year-old Irish charm was put to the test on Tuesday morning when he let a rather...unseemly phrase slip during a live TV interview on NBC's "The Today Show". The dashing actor, known for his roles in "Penny Dreadful" and "Fantastic Beasts", was promoting his new film "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" alongside co-star Margot Robbie.
As they munched on their go-to on-set snack - a chip sandwich, courtesy of the Irish manufacturer Tayto - Colin couldn't help but gush about the delicacy. "Tayto cheese and onion, white bread — white, cheap bread — thick butter, and I brought one in every morning for her," he shared with co-host Craig Melvin, 46. But things took a turn when Colin bit into the sandwich and exclaimed: "That's not bad. Is that Tayto? That is Tayto. Is that Tayto?" Suddenly, his eyes widened, and out came an expletive: "I f**king knew it!"
The studio erupted in shock, with Margot Robbie's eyes growing wide as a saucer. Even Colin looked taken aback by his own language. Craig Melvin jumped in, shouting "Oh my God!" as the Irish actor tried to recover by claiming he was misheard: "They misheard me!"
But it seemed the cat was already out of the bag. The moment has since gone viral on social media, with fans taking to Instagram to share their reactions. One viewer quipped, "It's Collin Farrell... not expecting swearing is poor planning on your part!" Another joked, "This segment was a big bold beautiful journey alright."
Despite the awkwardness, Colin seemed in good spirits during the rest of the interview. He even shared some laughs with co-star Margot Robbie, who had been pregnant while filming their movie and would often joke about her "pregnant appetite". The blonde beauty's first return to the silver screen since 2023's blockbuster "Barbie" movie - which she starred in and produced through her LuckyChap company - has been highly anticipated.
As for Colin, it seems even the most seasoned actors can have off moments. But judging by his charming on-screen presence, we're willing to give him a pass this time around. After all, as one fan so aptly put it: "We are all human... s**t happens!"
And what's next for these co-stars? Their new film, "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey", hits theaters on September 19th, and from the looks of their chemistry on screen - and off - we're expecting a wild ride. Stay tuned!
