Charlie Sheen revealed he was blindsided by an intense Hollywood-stacked intervention that sent him to rehab for the first time back in 1990 ¿ and it even involved Clint Eastwood; (Sheen on Monday)

Charlie Sheen's Wild Ride: The Shocking Truth Behind His Intervention and Recovery

Get ready for a wild ride, folks! Charlie Sheen, the 60-year-old Hollywood bad boy, is spilling all the tea in his new Netflix docuseries, "aka Charlie Sheen." And trust us, it's juicy!

In a shocking revelation, Sheen reveals that he was blindsided by an intense intervention back in 1990. Yes, you read that right – 1990! The star of the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men" claims he thought he was attending his father Martin Sheen's birthday party when, in reality, it was a carefully staged meeting to push him towards sobriety.

In Wednesday¿s release of his new Netflix docuseries aka Charlie Sheen, the Two and a Half Men alum, 60, recalled how he was duped into thinking he was attending his father Martin Sheen¿s birthday party on August 3, 1990; (Eastwood in 2020)

Sheen described the scene like this: "As I come around the corner, I see the living room has this really expertly organized circle of people." And who was part of this esteemed gathering? None other than Rob Lowe, his seventh-grade history teacher, and even Clint Eastwood (although he wasn't in the room that day – more on him later).

But here's the kicker: Eastwood phoned in during the meeting, right when Charlie was "hatching a plan to get away." In his iconic, globally recognizable voice, Eastwood told Sheen, "You're worth saving," and urged him to "get the train back on the tracks, kid."

Sheen remembered the encounter as "really powerful" and said it changed his life. He's been sober for eight years now, but the memories of that tumultuous time still linger.

Among those in the circle was what Sheen described as a 'weird mix' ¿ Rob Lowe , his seventh-grade history teacher, his yoga instructor, plus his siblings Ramon, Emilio and Renée, all gathered with their parents: Eastwood, 95, wasn¿t in the room that day, but he still played a crucial role; (seen in 1990)

But what about his infamous meltdown in 2011? The one that got him fired from "Two and a Half Men" and replaced by Ashton Kutcher? Well, Sheen is finally addressing the elephant in the room – or rather, the clown in the corner.

In an interview with People, Sheen admitted that he understands why his former co-star Jon Cryer still feels upset. After all, Cryer was caught in the middle of the chaos and had to deal with the fallout. "He was in the line of fire," Sheen said. "I can't debate anything he said."

Cryer, however, has made it clear that his relationship with Sheen is non-existent. In a January episode of Bill Maher's podcast, Cryer bluntly stated, "We don't have a relationship anymore." Ouch!

In his 'very recognizable, very globally familiar voice,' Eastwood told his The Rookie co-star that he was 'worth saving' (seen in 1990)

But there's some good news: Sheen and Chuck Lorre, the show's creator, have since patched things up. Lorre even gushed about their reunion during an interview with The Scholarly Note in 2024, saying it was like rekindling an old friendship.

As for a possible reboot of "Two and a Half Men," Sheen is open to the idea – as long as he's back on board, that is. Lorre previously admitted that there were times when he couldn't even watch the show because it was too painful.

And speaking of pain, let's talk about Eastwood. Yes, the same Clint Eastwood who phoned in during Sheen's intervention all those years ago. Sheen confessed that he was "sloppy" on set while working with Eastwood on "The Rookie," but the legend himself is still standing tall.

The legendary director also urged him, 'You¿ve got to get the train back on the tracks, kid'; (seen in The Rookie)

In fact, Sheen has even taken responsibility for his past behavior and expressed a desire to repair his relationship with Lorre back in 2018 during an interview with The Today Show. "I really wanted to mend things," he said.

So, what's next for Charlie Sheen? Well, we're glad you asked! His memoir, "The Book of Sheen," hit shelves just days ago, and the docuseries is getting rave reviews on Netflix. It looks like this wild ride is far from over!
