In a shocking turn of events, Hollywood heartthrob Chris Pratt and his ex-wife Anna Faris have put aside their differences to celebrate their 12-year-old son Jack's sixth-grade graduation in Santa Monica. The reunion comes just weeks after Pratt faced backlash for failing to acknowledge Faris on Mother's Day.

The estranged couple, who divorced in 2018 after a nine-year marriage, proved that all is well between them as they posed for a family photo with their son and even shared a heartfelt hug at the celebration. Pratt, 45, was joined by his current wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, 35, whom he shares three children with.

Faris, 48, looked radiant in a bright smile, while Pratt appeared to be beaming with pride as they put aside their differences for the sake of their child. The reunion marked a significant departure from their last public appearance together in August 2018, when they were spotted looking strained on a walk in LA.

Chris and Anna's journey began in 2007 when they starred together in the 1980s-set rom-com Take Me Home Tonight. They got engaged the following year before tying the knot in Indonesia in 2009. However, their marriage didn't last, with Pratt filing for divorce by December 2017. The couple finalized their divorce on Halloween 2018.

Since then, both Pratt and Faris have moved on to new loves. Faris tied the knot with cinematographer Michael Barrett in 2021, while Pratt wed Schwarzenegger in 2019.

But the drama didn't stop there. Just last month, Chris sparked outrage by failing to acknowledge Anna on Mother's Day. Instead, he took to Instagram to pay tribute to Katherine, writing: "How do moms do it? Seriously. It’s like running a circus, a hospital, and a five-star kitchen all at once... Our kids hit the jackpot with you, and so did I."

Fans were quick to call out Pratt for snubbing Faris, with many taking to social media to demand an acknowledgment of her motherhood. "Where's the tribute to the mother of your first child?????" asked one user. Another pressed: "Anna Faris is a mother too."

Someone else wisely advised: "Please remember to acknowledge the mother or father of your child. Keep the peace at least for your child's sake." And another pointed out: "What about your other baby-mama? Did you walk away from that era of being a father?"

In the past, Pratt has faced criticism for not acknowledging Faris on Mother's Day. In 2021, he sparked controversy by thanking Schwarzenegger for giving birth to his daughter, which fans interpreted as a slight towards Anna, who had prematurely given birth in 2014.

The following year, Pratt told Men's Health that the backlash left him feeling "f*ed up," adding: "My son may see these comments one day. I don't want him growing up thinking that his mom wasn't important or valued."

This time around, however, it seems that Chris has learned from his past mistakes and is making an effort to put aside his differences with Anna for the sake of their child.
