Bruce Willis: Height Doesn't Matter When It Comes to Emma's Heels!
Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Heming Willis Opens Up About Life with the Die-Hard Star
In a candid post, model and actress Emma Heming Willis has revealed that her husband of 17 years, Bruce Willis, is a total sweetheart when it comes to her fashion choices - even if they do make him feel like he's shrinking! The 47-year-old beauty shared two throwback photos of herself and the Die-Hard star on social media, showcasing how she effortlessly towers over her hubby in stilettos.
The model, who is known for her stunning looks and sharp wit, couldn't help but gush about Bruce's confidence. "You ever hear about those kinda guys who don't want their ladies wearing heels so they don't look short? Yeah, Bruce is not that guy," she wrote to her nearly one million followers on thescholarlynote.com.
But what makes this post even more fascinating is that Emma has been shouldering a heavy burden in recent times. Her husband, 70, has been battling dementia, specifically frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which affects speech, behavior, and cognitive function. In fact, the condition has progressed so much that Bruce's family had to reveal his diagnosis on social media in 2022.
As Bruce's primary caregiver, Emma has been an unwavering support system for her husband. And it seems like she's using this experience as a chance to spread awareness about caregiving and the importance of prioritizing mental health. In fact, Emma is working on a book called The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path, which is set to hit shelves in September.
In a recent Instagram post, Emma shared a selfie from her recording session for the audiobook version of her book. "Day 1 of 4 in the recording booth for The Unexpected Journey complete ✔️," she wrote, accompanied by a heart-wrenching caption. "I’ve lived with these words in my head for so long, and today I spoke them out loud for the very first time... It’s heartbreaking. And yet I’m so grateful to share what I’ve learned in the hope that it supports another caregiver on their journey."
But Emma's not just stopping at writing a book - she's also taking her message to social media, where she recently shared a video discussing the challenges of promoting her literary effort. "Writing the book really spoke to the introvert in me, but the promotion side of it goes against every cell and grain in my body," she admitted.
The mother-of-two confessed that stepping out of her comfort zone to promote her book has been a daunting task for her. "I know it might not seem that way, but the truth is, this is me stepping way out of my comfort zone. Still, when you care deeply about something - when you know your story, tools, lived experience, and the lessons you’ve learned might help someone else, you speak up," she wrote in the caption.
And what's clear from Emma's posts is that she's not just doing this for herself - she's doing it for all the caregivers out there who are struggling to cope with their loved ones' illnesses. "This book isn’t just mine, it’s for all of us walking this road," she wrote. And with her book set to hit shelves on September 9th, Emma is ready to take her message to the world.
So, what can we learn from Emma's journey? For one, it's clear that love and support know no bounds - not even when faced with the daunting task of caring for a loved one with dementia. And two, it's never too late to step out of your comfort zone and make a difference in someone else's life.
