Breaking Taboos: Virgins on TLC Share Their Liberating Journey
EXCLUSIVE: The Unapologetic Virgins of TLC's Sensational New Series - "Virgins"!
Get ready for a jaw-dropping ride as we delve into the lives of four stunning singles who have bravely shared their unexplored journeys on reality TV! Meet Alex, 34, and Rhasha, 42, the dynamic duo who have shattered taboos by revealing their shocking secret: they're still virgins!
In a bold move, these two self-proclaimed "virgin superstars" have taken the world by storm with their unapologetic tales of love, intimacy, and self-discovery on TLC's sizzling new series "Virgins". Premiering earlier this month, this reality show follows Alex and Rhasha as they embark on a life-changing adventure to lose their virginities and explore the thrill of romance.
While some skeptics have raised eyebrows over the show's controversial premise, our fearless friends have no qualms about baring it all (literally!) - and we're hooked! "Growing up, high school, college, and even after college, it was tough for me to approach a lady at the bar or wherever," Alex confides. "When I would try to do that, I'd get rejected literally every time. It just made me not want to do it anymore, which is why I stopped for so long."
Fast-forward to today, and Alex has discovered a newfound confidence, courtesy of TLC! "After this whole experience, it's not hard for me to go up and talk to people just generally and conversate with anybody," he beams. "It's fun now, and it's easy!"
Rhasha echoes similar sentiments: "I wouldn't have done anything without them [TLC]. I'd still be in my room in the corner, trying to figure out life. So, I'm happy that I experienced this and got out. It changed my life so much, and I'm so grateful."
As these two trailblazers share their stories with The Scholarly Note, they've received an overwhelming response from viewers - including those who are still struggling to find their footing in the world of love and relationships! "I got a couple comments from people saying, 'Wow, I'm in the same boat, you guys are representing,'" Rhasha reveals. "And that makes me feel good that there are other people out there, and it's okay to wait until you get what you deserve."
While some critics have panned the show as cringeworthy or exploitative, Alex and Rhasha are adamant that their experiences will ultimately help change public perception: "It won't go away [the stigma], because no matter what you choose in your own life, there's going to be people out there who have an opinion on how they feel someone should go about their relationship when it comes to sex," Alex acknowledges. "Even if you feel like it's okay to wait, there's always going to be people out there who are trying to push you to get it done. I don't think it's ever going to leave, unfortunately."
But for now, these two reality TV stars are basking in the glow of TLC's approval and adoration! "For me, I just wrote into TLC to tell them my story, and they responded," Rhasha shares. "It was an immediate yes. I gotta be honest though because when I first got the email, I thought it was a scam because it was so long ago that I wrote to them."
Alex's sisters were instrumental in getting him on board with the show: "They knew I was struggling with that part of my life, they told me to give it a go," he reveals. "I was kind of surprised when I got a Zoom call. I was shocked but excited, but I knew it was real when I got the email with the contract. I was like hold up a second, this is legit now. I signed it and I was like, let's go!"
Despite initial concerns about sharing their stories with the world, Alex and Rhasha have no regrets: "I wasn't really scared right away because at that moment everyone I knew, knew my situation," Alex explains. "Everyone was comfortable with my situation; no one thought anything of it, it was normal."
Rhasha agrees: "I wasn't scared. I was more embarrassed because of my story, so I was like how are people going to perceive me? But I wasn't scared."
And now, the world is witness to their unapologetic journey! As they open up about their experiences and share their stories with The Scholarly Note, it's clear that Alex and Rhasha have become two of TLC's most unlikely - yet endearing - stars. So, grab a snack, get cozy, and tune in to "Virgins" every Monday at 9pm ET/PT on TLC!
