SHOCKING UPDATE: Michelle Trachtenberg's Boyfriend Finally Breaks Silence on Her Sudden Passing

It's been nearly five months since the world was left reeling by the sudden and tragic death of actress Michelle Trachtenberg, but her boyfriend Jay Cohen has finally opened up about their relationship and her passing.

Cohen, a 63-year-old talent agent, took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the support he received from friends and family in the aftermath of Trachtenberg's death at just 39 years old. When asked by a commenter to "talk" about the actress, Cohen replied with a simple yet poignant message: "One day soon! I'm very sorry ❤️".

On Wednesday, Cohen shared a post to maker a milestone anniversary for his health when he was asked by a commenter to 'talk' about Trachtenberg to which he simply replied: 'One day soon! Im very sorry [heartbreak emoji]'

The original post was actually a milestone anniversary for Cohen himself - he received a life-saving kidney transplant 26 years ago, thanks to a selfless donor. In his heartfelt message, Cohen called for unity and compassion, urging people to find ways to love and help others in need.

Trachtenberg and Cohen had been romantically linked since 2020, often sharing sweet messages and affectionate posts on social media. As her partner at the Gersh Agency, where Trachtenberg was signed in 2014, Cohen was deeply affected by her passing.

In April, the cause of Trachtenberg's death was finally revealed - complications from diabetes mellitus, according to New York City's Office of Chief Medical Examiner. The investigation into her sudden passing had been ongoing since February, when authorities were called to a Manhattan apartment where Trachtenberg was found unconscious and unresponsive.

Another user apparently pointed out that it was 'not cool' to ask Cohen about his late girlfriend but he gracefully replied: 'Thank you, it’s OK comes from the right place. Michelle was loved by so many'

Cohen's original statement following Trachtenberg's passing was that "the family will not be commenting on the tragedy". However, in his recent post, he revealed the depth of his grief and appreciation for those who supported him during this difficult time.

As news of Trachtenberg's premature passing spread, her former co-stars from Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer paid tribute to her memory. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played Buffy, wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram, quoting a line from their iconic series: "Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live... for you."

Blake Lively, who starred alongside Trachtenberg as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, remembered her late co-star as a "deeply sensitive and good person". Melissa Joan Hart, James Marsters, Chase Crawford, and Rosie O'Donnell also paid tribute to the actress.
