Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: A Manhattan Showdown as Exes Cross Paths
Brad Pitt's Awkward Encounter with Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie on the Horizon?
The drama is far from over for Brad Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, as both stars have been spotted out and about in Manhattan, leaving fans wondering if they'll run into each other anytime soon. The once-harmonious couple has been embroiled in a bitter custody battle and property dispute since their divorce in 2019.
Pitt, 61, has been making the rounds with his new girlfriend, Inés-Olivia de Ramon, who is a whopping 29 years younger than him. The pair made a stylish appearance at the world premiere of Pitt's new film, F1, in Times Square on Monday. "He loved having Ines by his side," a source revealed to People. "She's no drama, very supportive, and they're doing really well." It seems like Pitt has found his happy place with de Ramon, who is reportedly low-maintenance and doesn't stir up controversy.
Meanwhile, Jolie, 50, was spotted going about her daily routine in the Upper West Side, shopping for groceries at Fairway Market on Tuesday. The actress and humanitarian has been keeping a low profile since her highly publicized split from Pitt, but it seems like she's slowly starting to re-emerge onto the scene.
The drama between Pitt and Jolie has been well-documented over the years. In 2016, Pitt allegedly got into a physical altercation with their son Maddox on a private jet. More recently, their son Pax publicly slammed Pitt in an explosive Instagram rant, calling him a "world-class a**hole" and a "despicable person." Yikes! It's no wonder that the two have been at odds over their six children's upbringing.
The custody battle between Pitt and Jolie has been ongoing for years, with both parents vying for control of their kids. Things took a turn for the worse when Jolie sold her stake in their 1,200-acre winery, Château Miraval, without Pitt's approval. He subsequently sued her, leading to a countersuit.
Despite the drama, both stars have been working on their respective projects. Pitt is set to star in Joseph Kosinski's $200M-budget sports drama F1, which has received rave reviews and boasts an impressive 87% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. He's also produced several films, including It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley - the latter of which will be released in US theaters on August 8.
Jolie, on the other hand, has been quietly working on her latest directorial effort, Without Blood, which received a lukewarm reception upon its release in Italian theaters earlier this year. She's also set to reprise her role as the Mistress of Evil in Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' third Maleficent film.
As the two exes continue to navigate their complicated co-parenting situation, fans are left wondering if they'll eventually put aside their differences and come together for the sake of their children. Only time will tell!
