Gwyneth Paltrow¿s husband Brad Falchuk proved chivalry isn¿t dead as he dutifully carried his wife¿s shopping bags following her retail therapy session in Milan, Italy

GOOP'S GWYNETH PALTRROW AND HUSBAND BRAD FALCHUK PROVE CHIVALRY ISN'T DEAD IN MILAN SHOPPING SPREE

Gwyneth Paltrow's husband Brad Falchuk has proven that chivalry is most definitely not dead as he was spotted carrying his wife's shopping bags in Milan, Italy. The devoted hubby of seven years didn't bat an eyelid as he toted multiple bags, including one from the luxurious Italian brand Loro Piana, where a single baby cashmere sweater can cost a whopping $1,900.

The power couple, who will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary next week, looked like they were in their own little world as they strolled hand-in-hand through the cobblestone streets of Milan. Gwyneth, 52, was her usual effortlessly chic self, pairing a loose grey pullover with wide-leg denim trousers and crisp white sneakers. She finished off her outfit with oversized black sunglasses and minimal jewelry.

The couple, who will mark their seventh wedding anniversary on Monday, looked relaxed as they strolled side-by-side through the cobblestone streets of the fashion capital on Wednesday

Meanwhile, Brad, 54, cut a stylish figure in a burnt-orange quarter-zip sweater and slim black trousers. He completed the look with sturdy lace-up boots and dark shades. It's clear that this couple is still going strong after all these years!

But it wasn't just their romantic shopping spree that caught our attention – Gwyneth also opened up about her "rough and rocky" time becoming a stepmother in a recent episode of her Goop podcast. The actress, who has two children with ex-husband Chris Martin, revealed that she struggled to bring Brad into her kids' lives after they separated.

"It's like the dream that it all is like the Brady Bunch and it blends really well," Gwyneth said, "But the truth is, the only place to act out is against the stepmother – because they don't want to push the dad away."

Earlier this month, Paltrow and Falchuk appeared together on her Goop podcast, which was released on Tuesday (pictured in 2019)

The actress also confessed that she found being a stepmother to be "a pretty tricky arena" that required "a great deal of accountability, vulnerability, understanding your triggers – and nothing quite seems to trigger somebody, especially women, like stepmothers."

But despite the challenges, Gwyneth has managed to form close bonds with Brad's children, Isabella and Brody. In fact, she credits them with helping her understand what it means to be a mother.

"To be maternal… actually, it was your kids who really helped me define this," Gwyneth said on the podcast. "When I look back, we traversed through some really rough things. The lessons you learn from your stepchildren have been really profound for me."

The pair discussed how they had a difficult time blending their families for the first year of marriage, and decided to not live together; seen in 2024

Gwyneth also shared one particularly poignant story about her relationship with Brad's daughter Izzy.

"One of my most profound lessons that I learned from my relationship with your daughter, which is now so fantastic, is that there was testing going on," Gwyneth said. "She was testing me all the time to see at what point I would reject her. And at some point, I decided, I just need to be exactly that – the essence of maternal: without opinions, without words, without corrections."

Gwyneth explained that she learned to embody the "essence of the maternal" by being a constant presence in Izzy's life, loving and forgiving her no matter what.

Gwyneth and Brad tied the knot in 2018 in the Hamptons ¿ two years after Gwyneth and Chris' divorce was finalized

"It just gives off – it just emanates," Gwyneth said. "And that's what I thought Izzy needed from me. I was just going to be that presence for her, always loving and forgiving."

The couple's relationship has clearly been through its ups and downs over the years, but it's clear that they're still deeply in love. And who wouldn't want to steal a page from their book? After all, as Gwyneth so aptly put it, "the only place to act out is against the stepmother" – just kidding, Brad!
