VENICE WEDDING SHOCKER: Bezos and Sanchez's $48 Million Extravaganza Forged Ahead Amid Rising Global Tensions!

The city of Venice is bracing itself for a three-day extravaganza like no other as Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos and his bride-to-be Lauren Sanchez prepare to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony that has already sparked outrage among locals. But what's truly jaw-dropping is the news that the high-profile nuptials have been forced to relocate due to "rising global tensions" - yes, you read that right!

The original plan was to host the opulent bash at the stunning Scuola Grande della Misericordia on Saturday night, but it seems the powers-that-be have decided to play it safe and move the proceedings to a more controlled environment within the Arsenale area. And let's be real, it's not hard to see why - with protests planned by locals furious at the couple for "taking over the city" for three days of non-stop celebrations.

Bezos and Sanchez nuptials has already attracted huge controversy with protests planned by locals angry at the couple for 'taking over the city' for the planned three day festivities. Pictured: Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sanchez Throw A Foam Party On Their Yacht Ahead Of Their Italian Wedding

As if that wasn't enough, the wedding planning team has hired a team of former US Marines to provide top-notch security for the event. After all, when you're talking about a $48 million bash, you want to make sure everything goes off without a hitch! And speaking of hitches, it's been revealed that the couple's original plan was foiled by rising global tensions between the US and Iran - yikes!

But what really gets our goat is the news that Greenpeace activists have already unfurled a massive banner in St. Mark's Square, protesting against the wedding with a cheeky slogan: "If you can rent Venice for your wedding, then you can pay more tax!" Ouch! And if that wasn't enough, British group 'Everyone Hates Elon' also got in on the action, highlighting the "environmental and social injustice" of the wedding.

Meanwhile, Simone Venturini, head honcho at the Venice Tourism Council, has been spinning a different tune altogether. According to him, Venice is honored to host Bezos's nuptials, chosen for its unique beauty and character. He claims that the wedding will bring in big bucks and publicity for the city - we're not so sure about that, but hey!

But wait, there's more! Campaign group No Space for Bezos has organized a massive protest for next Saturday, encouraging demonstrators to don goggles and inflatables to disrupt taxis ferrying guests. Ooh, it's getting juicy in here! And on the flip side, pro-Bezos campaign group 'Yes, Venice Can' has formed, welcoming the wedding for bringing funds and publicity to the city - you know what they say: "you can't please everyone"!

So, will Bezos and Sanchez's big day go off without a hitch? Only time (and a healthy dose of drama) will tell!

A team of former US marines has already been hired to provide security for the event by Bezos, which is due to take place over three days from June 26 in the iconic lagoon city. Pictured: A banner against Bezos lies on the ground in St. Mark's Square

On its social media the group says: 'Jeff Bezos and his clique of super rich people are not welcome in Venice' adding that the city cannot be 'a showcase for the elite'

Conversely a pro Bezos campaign group called 'Yes, Venice can' has formed in recent days welcoming the wedding for bringing funds and publicity to the city
