Beyoncé's Unreleased Tracks Still Missing After Arrest in Music Theft

A man accused of stealing unreleased Beyonce tracks has been arrested but unfortunately the music still has yet to be recovered

Beyoncé's Unreleased Music Mysteriously Vanishes Again, And This Time It's All Too Familiar

In a shocking turn of events that has left music lovers around the world stunned, a man accused of stealing unreleased Beyoncé tracks has been arrested – but unfortunately, the music remains at large. The drama unfolded months after Beyoncé's unreleased material was reportedly stolen from her choreographer's SUV ahead of her highly-anticipated show in Atlanta, Georgia back in July.

Kelvin Evans, 44, is currently behind bars in Fulton County Jail, facing a string of charges including entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony and violating his parole. But what's got everyone talking is that the hard drives containing the unreleased music have yet to be recovered – leaving many to wonder if this is just another case of "lost" music.

Kelvin Evans was arrested for allegedly breaking into an SUV and taking the 44-year-old megastar singer's property

According to a police incident report obtained by ABC News in July, law enforcement officers were hot on the trail of a suspect accused of stealing two suitcases containing sensitive material from Beyoncé's team. The stolen goods included hard drives with footage, plans for her past and future set lists, as well as unreleased music – the very same music that has been making headlines for months.

But what's even more disturbing is that this isn't the first time Beyoncé's property has been targeted by thieves. In March 2021, thieves reportedly stole $1 million worth of valuables from her storage unit in Los Angeles. The items swiped included designer handbags and dresses – and it's believed that the singer was linked to three storage units in the area.

The latest incident took place on July 8, when a Jeep Wagoneer belonging to Beyoncé's team was broken into at Krog Street Market in Atlanta. Surveillance cameras captured the break-in, and police confirmed that the scene was dusted for fingerprints. In addition to the stolen music, clothes, designer sunglasses, laptops, and AirPods Max headphones were also taken.

Evans is currently in Fulton County Jail and police told TMZ on Tuesday that the hard drives with the unreleased music have not been recovered; Beyonce is seen performing in Los Angeles back in February 2017

Per WSB-TV, Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue reported the crime to the authorities, stating that someone broke in through the back lift gate and robbed their rental black Jeep Wagoneer while it was stationed in a parking deck around 8:09 p.m. The investigation led by the Atlanta Police Department's Larceny from Auto Unit resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for a suspect on July 14.

But what's got everyone talking is that this latest incident bears a striking resemblance to the storage unit heist back in March 2021. And while Evans' rap sheet is long and varied, with charges including aggravated assault, criminal trespass, writing bad checks, heroin possession, and parole violations – it's clear that something needs to change.

Evans has been booked an astonishing 37 times since January 2002, and his current bond of $20,000 seems woefully inadequate considering the gravity of the situation. The fact that the music remains unrecovered is a dark reminder that this case may be far from over – and we can't help but wonder if Beyoncé's team will ever see their stolen material again.

The incident is said to have happened around 8 p.m. inside a parking deck at Krog Street Market, three days before her sold-out run at Mercedes-Benz Stadium; seen in 2024

TheScholarlyNote.com reached out to Beyoncé's representatives at the time, but so far, there has been no comment on the latest development. As for Evans, he'll remain behind bars until his next court date – but it's clear that this is a case that will continue to captivate music fans and gossips alike in the days to come.

With the release of her highly-anticipated album "Renaissance" just around the corner, Beyoncé fans are eagerly awaiting new music from their Queen. But for now, it seems like we'll have to wait a little longer – all because of a string of unfortunate events that have left us all wondering: what's next?
